Damn..trying wayyy too hard to make this a nepotism debate…when the film has nothing to do with it

Fun fact : Anupam Kher and mithun both chose to launch their kids into films instead of giving that opportunity to a “good actor” …do with that what u do ..👍🏼😊

What??😲 Outsiders doing nepotism??😲 but if Anupam Kher and Mithun's sons have even 10% of the acting capabilities of these two actors then why not.....just because they are star sons doesn't mean they shouldn't get a chance...and what a better movie to showcase their talent than this one...

Its OK...Shaitaan is too desperate....but the fact is that this movie would have been a hit even if it had nepo kids who are good actors....like Ranbir or Alia.....Its the subject of the movie that is making it a hit...of course it needed powerful actors to bring out the emotions....powerful actors...nepo or not...wouldn't have mattered...

they had popular music which ppl could discuss , song and dance which could be emulated, hook steps etc ….they had mainstream actors and kapil can waste some time on their Insta handles and making them play silly games , or cracking jokes on their love lives…

I’m struggling to think what sort of material he’d come up with for this

Also another point being , he chose to remain apolitical…which is a choice he’s allowed to make ….

Life is not a joke. We should know the truth about Kashmiri Exodus from the valley.

It was easy for him to find materials. We have enough interviews online by Kashmiri Hindus. Kashmiri Hindus regularly organise protests and marches for their rights to live in their homeland. All you need to do is ask them. Arm forces can easily tell you, what happened.

He could make this film as Article 370 was removed. Many Kashmiris do not like any outsider making Kashmir their home. Its was easy for him.

I went to Kashmir for holiday last year. They were organizing protest against insurgent's death. Everything was closed, except restaurants and tourist locations. We went to Lal Chowk, Srinagar in night as it is deemed unsafe for tourist during day time. We were tourist, so many people told us, we are safe as no one tries to harm them. But we cannot say the same for others.

I’m sorry I’m not sure why ur mentioning this in the context of this argument

If he does his research and asks all these questions about protests and political stances, then it won’t be the kapil sharma show or a comedy show …it becomes a serious interview…

Which is why I said it does not fit the theme of the show for it to be promoted there …

A more suitable means of promotion would be a well researched interview with one of the news channels …or a digital interview …to raise concerns on the above matters….not a comedy show that thrives on cracking jokes …his show is not an appropriate platform to promote the film

Yes, a film exploding is totally not a reason for a box-office website to hype it up. 😆

The Kashmir Files Continues To Create Havoc

Tuesday 15 March 2022 16.00 ISTBox Office India Trade Network

The Kashmir Files continues to create havoc at the box office as again collections on Tuesday show no signs of any drop. The film is showing gains on Tuesday morning and afternoon against the same shows on Monday so you take another 15 crore nett for the film is there again.

There is a chance that it will go higher but even a number of 15 crore nett is phenomenal as the Tuesday figures will be in the same range as Sunday or higher. The five day collections of the film are likely to be over 57 crore nett and there are still two days of the week remaining.

It is still hard to say where the week will end up but you a realistic number can be somewhere in the range of 85-95 crore nett depending on what happens on Wednesday and Thursday. The second week business of the film may be more than the first week the way the film is going right now.

The momentum of this film is so strong that it is likely to affect the new release Bachchhan Pandey this week because if this momentum continues then The Kashmir Files is looking to do a 20 crore nett or more number on the Holi holiday and it will not be letting go of screens, On top the film is strongest in Hindi belts which is the target audience of Bachchhan Pandey also.

Gadar was a groundbreaking movie for it's time

The storyline, some dialogues, it couldn't be made before 2001

Don't think it could've been released from 2004-2014

I feel the same way about Zubeida too, that they wouldn't have allowed it, not without some changes...

Who knows what potential hurdles TKF could have faced at another time? Frankly speaking, J&K is still not a bed of roses by any means. I still remember absolutely huge protests by insurgents in Jammu on the way back to the airport. It’s scary af. Cannot even imagine living through that everyday. And not sure if it’s still the case but once we got to Jammu airport, no-one is allowed to sit inside the airport due to security measures and I’m guessing because they’re worried some idiot will try blowing up the airport. So I remember sitting outside baking in the heat till our flight was ready to take off.😰so the lives of KPs and other ordinary Kashmiris for that matter have been made difficult in more ways than one, even 30yrs on.

agreed! I failed to understand how they would've incorporated the theme of the movie in their skit. I am sure Vivek wouldn't have liked if krushna came as sapna and say mai sapna aapke liye mere paas tata nano massage hai 😔

It's Gadar (revolt). Gaddar means traitor.

Gadar saw violent protests when it released. More than two decades later, it still causes heartburns.
