The Kashmir Files Is Another Gadar - On Its Way To Create HISTORY

The Kashmir Files is going the Gadar way as far as the box office is concerned. This is not comparing the films and not to say that The Kashmir Files will get 5 crore footfalls. Monday has come and the noon shows across UP have seen a phenomenal response with HF shows across the state and it will be a similar story in most other states and the sort crowds being witnessed at cinema halls is similar to what happened with Gadar. When smaller centres behave like this then there is no stopping a film.
At the time of Gadar it was a case of huge crowds at cinemas (the story then was there are 1000 people inside and 3000 people waiting outside to get in) and many not being able to get tickets and the same story is being repeated here with The Kashmir Files. It is across the board and with Gadar it lasted for weeks and weeks but availability of tickets was much less due to smaller releases. It remains to be seen how long this lasts for The Kashmir Files but something big is happening that is there for sure.
The Kashmir Files is on its way to join the list of the historic BLOCKBUSTERS of Hindi cinema and the last time that a small film did this was Jai Santoshi Maa in 1975. In fact that is the only time that a small film has become an ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER.
It is too early to call where Monday is going but they way its going at the moment it may not be that far off the Sunday figure and when there is momentum like this you can never write of anything. It could even get to the Sunday number and even the unthinkable can happen and it could go higher. The lifetime number of the film could also go anywhere as the film will not be stopping and this is likely to affect the likes of Bachchan Pandey and RRR as The Kashmir Files will not be letting go off screens for sometime.
