And yes there was a mix up on the rankings I shared, totally accept that. But there is a catch even in those rankings which is why even smaller economies like Brazil , Finland look better than India. It’s called GDP per capita rankings.

Also I looked up Kerneys overall indexes and rating and can know why this is the preferred Ranking source for most watsapp groups and leech media groups. It’s because they do not give the holistic view of all the rankings required to judge an economy.

Apart from FDI, we have retail index, purchasing power, industrial by type growth rate and GDP indexes to judge a country’s growth. It’s not there at all on kearneys data outliers.

All the places where India is ranked is alongside smaller economies with absolute no comparison on global levels.

And India is a disaster in every index except from retail index because of its massive population. It is and will remain among the top there for that reason alone. Even Modi can't F that up.

When your understanding of finance and finance terms ends at reading two lines on Internet this is what you get.

Just to help you more on this.
1.When a recessionary phase sustains for a considerable length of time, it is known as a recession. A technical recession is when a country faces a back-to-back decline (for two consecutive quarters) in the GDP.
2.Recession covers a wide range of decline in economic activity, covering several economic aspects such as employment, household, corporate incomes and so forth. Technical Recession is mainly used to snapshot the trends in GDP.
3.Recession is of long duration. Technical recession is of short duration.
4.Recession is not caused by a single off event. Technical Recession is often caused by a single off event.

Not here to educate you, but you need to get the difference between Recession and technical Recession, GDP vs GDP per capita, impact of decreasing FDI BUT increasing consumption , industrial growth, purchasing power, innovation plus startups with ease of doing business.

Only then you can have an informed discussion on economic growth or else it’s just brow beating each other. You may enjoy that, but it’s not the same for me.
