I am totally against the thread, but I don't get this point of slaughtering of animals either. People from all religions eat meat - its not like non veg is consumed during bakri eid only. Even in Hindus its 50-50 as far as meat consumption goes. Being the top of the food chain, it is only the natural order of things to consume the ones at the lower levels considering the energy and nutrition they provide.

I am against animal slaughter.

If due to a festival where extra millions of animals die, when otherwise they could have been alive is what bothers me.

I am a vegan, hence I have some ground to say what I want on animals.

Vegetarianism, atleast in India is very much possible. Its cheaper, healthier and better environmentally.

Animals go through genocide every single minute.

Let’s ban Christmas, Halloween, Eid etc. as well… why just Holi and Crackers on Diwali?

It should be allowed in home but on roads no as they teases girls...

Water wastage is concerning but you can't make a difference if your concern begins when Holi arrives and evaporates the moment it ends. It's an issue that demands constant work throughout the year and not the annual Holi-special activism.

They wouldn't have been alive otherwise though, right. They would never have existed, considering they are domesticated, bred and fed for human consumption only.

of course. let's have only bakra eid because eating animals is the most beautiful thing one can do to the nature.
