This is such a beautiful interpretation ❤️

When i started watching the show, the subtle references of shiva and gauri really fascinated me. I thought i am overthinking, but they time and again bring such references which makes me so overwhelmed.

And since I don't have a tt account, anu will you please tell rooh that I love her threads and sometimes I go on PS hashtag just to check them out😆

Okay it's just my personal POV.. Nothing against anyone but please don't compare fictional characters with Shiva & Parvati.. The TV character we are comparing to God is nothing like him.. Even in show the comparison that made is so wrong

Shiva in his ardhnarishwar roop depicts that never disrespect women in any form - be it mother, wife or friend. Comparing this fictional Shiva is insult to God.

आत्मा त्वं गिरिजा मतिः सहचराः प्राणाः शरीरं गृहं।

Shiva is said as soul & his wisdom is shakti.. The way this fictional Shiva constantly demean Shakti for her wisdom is itself insult to Shiva Shakti bond.

शरण्ये त्र्यम्बके गौरी नारायणी नमोस्तुते।।

Shiva always put Shakti above everything.. & he would destroy everyone including himself before saying anything demeaning to Shakti..

So please don't insult Shiva & Shakti by comparing them to fictional characters 🙏

Dear Anu & Rooh,

Glad you made this thread & post here.

Glad, our cultural heritage gives references, connects, responses, Quests to all…because it generates interest through its nuances!

That is the beauty & strength if Sanatan Dharma!
You are shown multiple paths. you can interpret & choose your own point of view , you have freedom & inclusive openness to interpret the connect.

This, in itself , is a rare - May be sole flexible major religion- Sanatan Dharma & our stories, our beliefs, our culture. Only major Religion that allows such interpretations w/o fear of blasphemy.

Sanatan Hindu dharma worships Devi- goddesses as Shakti.

One point that always bothers me is: how normalized it is to call all our pauranik stories ‘myth’ ‘mythology’ And not religious/cultural / historical Stories. Hoping someday this ‘myth’ narrative will change.

About Shivji & Gauri , Shivji & Sati: their stories were about love, resolve, strength, Satya, purity, respect & devotion!

Only one reference I can relate with Shivji & Gauri here is from Shiv Panchakshara Storta: Namah Shivay!

3rd part : Shi: About Shiva & Gauri:

शि:

शिवाय गौरीवदनाब्जबृंदा
सूर्याय दक्षाध्वरनाशकाय ।
श्रीनीलकण्ठाय वृषध्वजाय
तस्मै शिकाराय नमः शिवाय

Meaning:

He who is auspicious and who is like the newly risen sun causing the lotus-face of Gauri to blossom,
He who is the destroyer of the sacrifice of Daksha,
He who has a blue throat and has a bull as his emblem,
Salutations to that Shiva, who is represented by the syllable “shi”

my pov:
Beyond character Shiva’s presence making Raavi blossom like sunshine- for me, Pandyastore’s Shiva & Raavi’s story doesn’t connect to Shivji & Gauri.
