Sorry but nothing can change my opinion about that. Everyone whom I know who watched it also said it was not required. It was plain wrong, just plain wrong.

Turn the tables around, if the teacher was a woman, do you think she would have given in to human emotions and kiss her lil boy of a student?

Maybe you are fine with it but not me. That ain't no human emotions, thats taking advantage of a situation.

There have been quite a few performances post 2000 that are way better than Black. I guess short term memory loss seems to be the problem that is increasing on IF.

He should have instead pacified her by explaining to her, she will find love eventually. Besides, she was young and he was old. On top of that, he was her teacher!

Doing the kiss is as if people with such handicaps never find love or never get married. It's not right in any sense.

if this was a hollywood film, they would have started having an affair in the film! Aesthetic is just a word film people use to describe something they know is going to grab eyeballs in a film!

You might have a point but the film released in 2005 and perhaps the general audience didn’t see it in this way. Individuals with disabilities are still looked down upon in India today. I don’t think the scene was wrong or perverted, I think for 2005, it was apt. Today, yes it may be a different story or issue

Rani in black it was a more challenging and complex character and film

I feel rani in her prime could have pulled Gangubai and YES..alia could certainly pull a Black.

On topic... Rani is better. Alia has miles to go before she gets to the Rani/Tabu/Vidya level.

Kangana is as good as rani, so saying rani can act circles around her is a reach. Rani is an excellent crier onscreen though, I'll give her that but overall, I really don't think anyone touches kangana when it comes to emoting onscreen, she is on another level. The funeral scene in thalaivii, where she internalised pain standing next to a dead MGR is just something very few can pull off

Kangu cannot even get her dialog delivery right. Please! 😆

What about Kangu in commercial movies which was a sight to behold in itself and tauba her dancing skills or lack there of.😆 No wonder she never got to act in big commercial movies. Rani on the other hand is an allrounder. No comparison even!

Kangana has a great dialogue delivery, she knows where to put the weight and how to manage the flow, the drunk scene in queen, datto in TWMR , her talking to her newborn in panga, the meltdown in front of her bf in simran are great examples. She just has a strong regional accent sometime, and that's something that even sridevi had, that doesn't mean kangana can't deliver dialogues properly. And what commercial and dancing has to do with ACTING?? Tabu who is a legend is even worse at dancing than kangana. Vidya alone ate rani in no one kills Jessica in their scenes together, so to imply that rani can act circles around kangana is definitely a reach imo. Kangana is very much in that league herself

Rani is an allrounder while Kangu is a one trick pony because she cannot do the Rheas, the Bablis and at the same time the disabled girl in the black. Kangu is at best a good art movie heroine like Shabana Azmi, I will give her that!
