Man, I feel so light now. Thanks for engaging you all. I was trying to justify this whole thing to myself but it feels better accepting it makes me uncomfortable and it’s just not right. Biggest problem, the portrayal of women in this show.

Besides one or two characters, as an overall show, this is a regressive show and I can’t change the creatives’ mindsets. I’ll just watch it as a story of flawed people and wait for the post marriage period now because imlu and aru really do have a lot of potential and I love ST FK 🚶🏼‍♀️

Also that poem in the end - lovely poem - but if the wedding talk has already happened between the two pf them - then which rasta(road) is wrong? the wedding road or the road to T's?. HELP!

I think Aru will just use the new found authority to push imlie towards work and assignment and make sure the Ts are not there to manipulate her anymore or to clean their messes. She resigned from her job, she peft his house, there was no other way she would have listened to anything he had to say because right now she cant fathom anything except helping the Ts. yah i don't think aryan has gone dark or anything like that (ive been reading a lot of romance novels lately which is what has helped write my articles bc the shows love their romance novel tropes) and this is more gray/just a person making mistakes

your point about him not having any other way is really interesting bc he's said before he doesn't actually have any rights over her, so a marriage (fake or not) would provide those rights (which says a lot about rights and responsibilities in ITV lol)

i think how this plays out will be interesting to see and hopefully imlie can get a clue by four bc oof. (and also bc ultimately for as much as people wanna see the wedding, if they're that worried about TRP competition from the new show from colors or w/e and all this, they should be continuing to do what people love, not all this)

Aryan was always big on imlie making her own choices. Her natural tendency is to self destruct so aryan would give her a reality check and then tell her choose what you want to do. So though he hand held her, the ultimate choice was always hers.

Now he is doing the exact opposite even if the intention is right. Oof! Why would you change him like this.

Though i do think that they have sort of built up enough for him to go unhinged. He was already suffering from ptsd, then his sisters accident, then imlie left him. He basically seems to have lost all sense of calmness and rationality. He just wants to "protect" his people. More than imlie, he seems to be having a saviour complex.

The best i can hope for is a pretend marriage like the promo suggested. That you pretend to marry me for x months. So it's not a forced marriage again and just a dikhava.

See this also comes down to imlie’s character, any sane person would laugh it off why the hell should I give away my whole life for an ex abusive family? But imlie as a character has been shaped in a way even if you offer her a choice there is no choice. Like seher said, with her character, they’ve backed themselves into the corner. They don’t want to write her better and that leaves only one guy that can take the story forward.

As for how they’ve done it.. that’s just a lack of creativity.

I agree ... as aryan says she's is dumb n intelligent at same time...we definitely need a shade dark ASR right now to forcefully atleast get out of that loop...

I feel he is the same Asr but thus time around the reason for him to get inlie outta the mess is not strong enough but yes tracks can't be perfect always

And what is Aryan thinking? Like first the aesthetic in this episode is great. But 2nd how is he going to explain this to Narmada and Arpita? How? They will not let this happen.

Can someone give me some hope that this will somehow turn into a sad deal marriage? Like seriously, I can't. But tbh whats the difference between a deall and a forced marriage when it's with THE Aryan Singh Rathore who has the power to do anything. To literally prevent this from being forced.

this is also why after my [bad vs good in-laws] article, i'm doing a [why don't FLs get friends] article BECAUSE!!!!!

Aryan was her first friend!!! (yes he's her boss and mentor) but he was the first person to actually see her for her potential and not be connected to her via birth, marriage, or anything else. had they given her a girlfriend who supported her, then it lands totally different from [guy we all know will be her love interest]

Though a lot of us are disappointed with him today including me, i just want to focus on one positive of the character - he is always big on choices and hard work and determination and facing your fears. Alot of his dialogues personally resonated with me. Despite regressiveness in the show, he spoke so much of sense that heroes rarely do these days.

So hopefully this is a blip in his character graph and he goes back to being awesome aru.

It is a mess at this point to be honest. While I absolutely hate that Aru resorted to this, I can also see that Imlie would definitely destroy her life if she was left to deal with this own. She has proved time and again that she has no sense of self when it comes to that toxic family. No matter what they have done to her, she has some sort of Stockholm syndrome that just would not let her stay away from them. She needs therapy because there has been to much damage to her self confidence, self image in this show. Seeing as how imlie being all stupid self righteous resigned from her job, I don't understand how else Aru would have made her understand that she needs to take care of herself and work for her dreams, career and future. Clearly her brain ka balabbwa just gets fused when she sees Gaparba cry. An intervention was needed and while it is absolutely the most unwanted trope, i guess isi bahaane at least we will get some respite from toxic ts endless manipulation loop. Since Aru knows her past trauna I do believe he will not make it toxic for her but she one the other hand will raise hell for sure. I don't know. At this juncture I am al frustrated at how this panned out. But I am also a little excited (guiltily) because we are about to see some explosive angsty stuff from fammy and stk both.
