Urmila's Bawandar-giri

Since rinki mentioned in the EDT, I thought its a good idea to have a separate topic just to take out our frustrations about Urmila's track.

Ever since Urmila came I've been so uncomfortable with her involvement in the cases. More than that, how do MPT members even allow her to be involved. I get that in the beginning she kept saying she's super bored and has nothing to do all day. So sure, they could take her along with them. But there came a point where Karishma actually told her to go talk to the kidnapped boy's father. I lost it there, cause how can you expect a mumbai's street vendor to develop trust and get information from a panicked father? That was the perfect chance to show Karishma going out of her comfort zone and adopt some traits of her MS. But nope. Each case: KS says she will use jazzbaat, the MPT struggles to solve it and wishes MS was there, Urmila the superhero hears their call for help, jumps in and save the day, MPT thinks the uniform gives her those powers, thanks Haseena's star in the sky.

We've all mentioned many times how we wanted to see KS independently solve cases, keeping her individuality alive, with maybe a hint of maturity that she learnt from MS. This track was the only chance to see her grow like that - initial heartbreak, gathering herself, and finding a new santulan between her personality + Haseena's ideology. In fact, this track was a life-changing event for the whole MPT so it was a perfect opportunity to show them all grow in some way. I think you mentioned this rinki, that there should've been a whole crumble and rebuild aspect to MPT with MS's absence. I was really expecting that, but aside from KS no one is showing any grief or loss.

You guys all said it really, Santu is the only one whose competency and ability has grown. Seems she and KS should switch titles because after Urmila shes the only one who has been contributing the most to solving cases these days. She's really a promising leader and officer, I can totally see her running MPT after MS. How I wished KS to be that, but her character development after MS's loss has made me loose alot of faith in her.

This entire Urmila-hard disk-traitor track has destroyed all the characters, not just Karishma Singh. Can the CVs please end it and get back to the old MS?

Urmila is fun and I'm loving her character, but not at the expense of all the others. I would rather see Urmila's streaks in Haseena Malik after she becomes Haseena again.

The CVs have completely destroyed a perfectly good track with turning Anubhav negative, Urmila into Haseena pt. 2, Karishma Singh into a bumbling fool, and Cheetah into an almost background character. Even Billu the Spy is no longer the spy, just Maa-Maa bolne wala idiot.

I've started assuming that right now all the characters are in some alternate universe. Everyone have lost themselves somewhere.

They all really need to gather themselves back. For few episodes all I thought HM's loss has taken a troll on them and they need some time. But it has been more than two months now. According to them Haseena is no more so they need to move on. They have grieved enough. Amidst all this they forget that they are playing with reputation of very same MPT their Maddam Sir has built.

I enjoyed Urmila in the beginning because it made me familiar to a hidden Haseena Mallik. I always wanted her to loosen herself a bit with MPT but now I miss her. Can they just bring her back for full-time. And has she gone through some memory loss? She seems to have completely forgotten about mission.

Anubhav, let's forget about him being positive or negative. First can writers stop making him Mr India. He literally vanishes in air after every few episodes 😏 Poor Anuseena fans!

Karishma Singh right now is a character completely out of my understanding. Why can she not involve MPT in pen drive case. Shouldn't it be MPT before anyone she should let know. I think at this point if she lets MPT know, Santu can handle all this better than anyone. And how come she isn't doubtful about Urmila? At this point even a fool can know she is HM, not some Urmila. I remember Pushpa Ji mentioned in one of the episodes that her subconscious mind somewhere accepts Urmila as HM. I guess she was so right. And that's the reason she lets Urmila meddle with everything. I mean she wasn't this informal with HM as well. They always had boundaries. And I can bet after the truth is out and everything is sorted, they will be back to their old relationship that we had before Urmila. This track won't make any progress in equation of Haseena-Karishma.

But if someone needs appreciation then it's Santu. I don't know if I should clap for her or go and give her a tight hug. At least Karishma has got a chance to grieve but Santu didn't. We never saw her crying over her loss except for 2-3 episodes. This girl silently took up all the responsibilities without even taking credit for it. She seems to be one who is most affected. And somewhere due to all this she grew up suddenly losing her massomiyat. I always knew Santu was a brilliant officer but now I know she can be the best one.

Also can CVS please show some back story of Cheetah as well like we got for other characters. Even Billu had some. They really need to give importance to Cheetah.

At that point, I was also willing to give them the benefit of doubt. like this duplicate was scraping at old wounds/adding salt to it so they were making hasty decisions amidst their grief. they probably also found that believing she was haseena gave them a moment of respite from the pain. they also had to make it look believable for the kidnappers/killers.

But there came a point where Karishma actually told her to go talk to the kidnapped boy's father. I lost it there, cause how can you expect a mumbai's street vendor to develop trust and get information from a panicked father?

That was the perfect chance to show Karishma going out of her comfort zone and adopt some traits of her MS.

thus getting due character development. I dont expect them to do something so atas but can't we expect the bare minimum?

and each time it happens, MPT looks dumber and dumber. nowadays they dont even remember MS. it's just expressing helplessness- which is so OOC for them- and then urmilla offers a solution.

the day before yesterday she spoke so fluently in English, "everybody shut up.". with that kind of assertiveness and dominance of authority, even the most tube light person would have put the pieces together. but no, we won't because we need them to look like halfwits. why? so that we can drag its case into a black hole.

I barely remember what she did in the last few episodes other than being angry and playing hide & seek with bua saas. what happened to the determination, anger, desperation and fire to bring the captain to justice?

they grew incompetent. again, this is my ek rupees ka idea that nobody asked for:

in the background, Karishma solves cases with jazbaat while also using laat where necessary. along with that using her network to get clues for the case which eventually leads her to the hard drive. after which she involves the rest of MPT. meanwhile, Pushpa Ji takes a leave from the police station and instead volunteers her time/ services at an NGO or something because it is too painful to be in the police station. santu can continue whatever she was doing because that is development. if they were brave enough, the CVs could give a psychological explanation of her loss of maausmiyat. cheetah gets a backstory. we need this before development. but he can be forming his own network that helps Karishma later on.

yup! adding on to my point above: amongst all the chaos, there is discord amongst each other which they learn to overcome. then we see them supporting each other emotionally while finding the captain/kidnapper/stalker or which chachundar that was.

right! but i want to see a proper angsty/controntation track between MPT and haseena.

or this could be me fabricating a situation that doesn't exist. still food for thought.

on the other hand, if you ask me why haseena isn't telling them the truth, why isn't Karishma involving MPT and all the other illogical sequences of events, I dont have an answer.

although there isn't a fixed time to grieve, I do agree that they need to gather themselves and focus on the betterment of the station. it is, after all, the legacy haseena left behind. grieving the loss of a near and dear one is one thing. letting that overpower every decision we make is another. these characters do not need to be perfect because none of us is. I want them to experience these very humane emotions. but I certainly do not expect them to lose their effectiveness and zeal in that process.

Agreed, there is no fixed time to mourn over your loss. I've heard people remembering their loved ones even after twenty years of their death. It's like they take a part of you with themselves that you can never have back. But life is cruel. It doesn't give you enough time to gather yourself. Right now MPT has huge responsibility on their shoulders. The world doesn't know HM is no more and MPT is running without a SHO. So reputation of MPT and perhaps last memory of HM lies in thier hands. And I really feel sorry to say this but they are not making much efforts in that direction.

I think I mentioned this sweepingly in the EDT- at this point, they should be pissed off at her too for keeping this from them. this locket/hard disc or whatever drive is the very reason haseena died and they have no idea. as I am typing this I just realised, cheetah santu Ji, Pushpa ji and billu have no idea why haseena died. damn, the kitchdi this has become

agreed. as a plotline that could have been a game-changer in terms of tone, storyline, character growth, character dynamics and raising the stakes, it falls flat with the slow pacing.

Instead of characters growth, they showed as character degradation

this girl has my heart man. it pains me to think that she never got to have chaat with haseena after the accident. I read somewhere that PTSD can be hidden. so I guess that is what is happening with her. I am not a psychiatrist so I dont want to pass a diagnosis but I do see PTS-S in her.

Poor girl is acting more mature than her age.

if I am being honest I really wanted a scene where all of them were comforting each other after urmilla came to Lucknow. like seeing her triggered that loss and they have a bittersweet moment as a family. an interaction where they acknowledge how this has affected them all- open and honest heart to heart.

They could have held other and cried, motivated each other to gather themselves but they did just opposite. They all never soothed down each other. At least Karishma had Pushpa Ji who holds her every night when she has nightmares but what about others - Santu, Cheetah, Pushpa Ji. I know the most affected is Karishma because she saw her dying in front of her eyes but still everyone are fighting their own emotions.

So reputation of MPT and perhaps last memory of HM lies in thier hands. And I really feel sorry to say this but they are not making much efforts in that direction.

i dont really care about the trolling. in fact, I had a debate on one of the episodes' youtube sections about anubhav and anuseena. dude, just won't stop arguing man. oh well, I am a bit of an ulti copri who didn't want to stop either.

I think I know what you're talking about. There are few crazy(I won't use words like toxic) Anuseena and Kareena fans who goes on trolling and basing each other. They hate other fandom like the person has ran away with their money. Dude, a person can have both a best friend and a boyfriend in her life and both relationship is important at it's own place. I know a fan page on insta who also comments on every episode on YouTube. She is neither a Kareena nor Anuseena fan. She is hard-core Anubhav fan. In her imaginary world, Haseena didn't trust Anubhav and she keeps bashing HM for the same. I'm like I wish your imagination was true but ... And then sometimes she would bash Karishma as well for not being with her brother 🤣 And the funniest part is she thinks if TRP of show goes up then it's only due to Anubhav being in show. Sometimes I want to go and reply, "Yes Ma'am, other actors are here to play saanp-sidhi".

They could have held other and cried, motivated each other to gather themselves but they did just opposite. They all never soothed down each other. At least Karishma had Pushpa Ji who holds her every night when she has nightmares but what about others - Santu, Cheetah, Pushpa Ji. I know the most affected is Karishma because she saw her dying in front of her eyes but still everyone are fighting their own emotions.
