Writers note (feel free to skip):

Juwii mentioned how she wished Imlie would just call Aryan by his name and not Aryan Sir, or Boss Babu or whatever and I 100% agreed. At that time this idea came to me and I couldn't help myself.

This is a scene that occurs after they get married, (AS A COMPROMISE)). Sorry for the capital letters but remember I am trying to manifest anything but a forced shaadi. Anyways, it's a compromise for their parents. (See my OS Extinguished Flames to read the reasons behind their marriage).

Edit: Welp I can't get the link to work. Anyways I had written a majority of this prior the March 1st episode when Imlie actually calls her Boss Babu, Aryan. So yes- I am a little bitter about this and tbh am not even feeling the writing since the main point of this OS has already happened.

Regardless I tried my best to still incorporate this latest development. Your love along with your chappals are most welcome!❤️

TBH I don't know if I even like this ending but this is as good as it will get for now and I wrote enough to where it would be a waste to not post it.

English dialogues will be added soon.

Imlie: It's new start! Aryan to marry Imlie

---------------------

These days Aryan Singh Rathore could not go a minute without Imlie. Who was he kidding, he couldn't live without her since the moment he first knew of her. Covered in dirt and still having the audacity to look him in the eye with the most innocent smile, he had been completely smitten by her since then. Little did he know at the time that this girl with such a big smile had felt some of the worlds biggest miseries.

It had only been a few months since their marriage but the gentle butterflies that used to frequent Aryan's stomach whenever he was around Imlie, turned into gigantic rats who stomped, danced, and conducted marathons around his stomach in the past few weeks.

But among this particular feeling, was this constant fear that followed his relationship with Imlie. Part of it was Aditya. Imlies first husband, first love, first of all things. Somewhere when Imlie had lost Adi, she had also lost the part of herself that could love someone. So when she was born again, she was a bit more cautious, a bit wary, and not one bit in love with Aryan. And that was the part that scared him the most.

It was true that she trusted him. She held his hand and gave him big gigantic hugs. She would push him and drag him, and he couldn't even resist a little bit. Even when they had begun to share the same bed, it wasn't an odd sight for him to wake up with her huddled close to him. But Aryans fears never ended. It wasn't a worry that she would go back to Adi but it was the fear that she would never be able to love him. So today, when Imlie had left work early and Aryan had to stay extra for a few meetings, his eyes only looked for her when he finally got home.

He found her on the swing in their back yard. Her white kameez glittering in the moonlight. Her hair tied loosely into a bun. She was twiddling her fingers, far off in a world of her own, but she must have heard his footsteps because she soon turned to find him walking softly towards her.

"Aa gaye tum" she said. "Aacha yeh batao, tumhare ye colleagues ke pas ghar duwar nahi hot hai kya? Itna waqat laga det ho time par anne ke liye. Arpita didi aur Narmada Amma kitne der se tumhar raah tak rahe the. Woh toh thak kar chalege sone."

[English: "You've come?" She said. "Okay tell me one thing, do your colleagues not have a house? It takes you so long to come home on time. Arpita didi and Narmada Amma went to sleep just waiting for you."]

"Tum nahi gayi?" Aryan asked. [English: You didn't go with them?]

"Dekho Boss Babu, tum baat ko jalebi ki tarha ghumao mat. Maine sirf tumhare bare mein baat kar rahi hoon. Tumhe dhyan rakhna chahiye. Yahan par aur log hai jo intazar karat rahe tumhare."

[English: Look Boss Babu, don't change the subject. I am just talking about you, don't change the subject to me. You need to be mindful that other people might be waiting for you to come home]

"Aur tum?". Aryan whispered. Knowing very well that Imlie had not heard him And even if she had, why would she wait for him?

Imlie tapped the space next to her and it brought Aryan back to the present. She skooted to make room for him.

"Bhet ho," she demanded. Aryan grimaced. He didn't feel like being friend zoned again today. "Arre! Bheto bheto!", Imlie continued, pulling his arm down. [English: "Sit down," she demanded. Aryan grimaced. He didn't feel like being friend zoned again today. "Just sit!!", Imlie continued pulling his arm down].

Aryan reluctantly sat down. "Itna sharma mat tum," Imlie said with a giant smile on her face.

[English: Aryan reluctantly sat down. "Don't be so shy," Imlie said with a giant smile on her face.]

Aryan rolled his eyes, the only thing he could do to not crack into a large smile. This girl, his wife, was crazy.

But when he sat down he noticed that Imlies face had settled into a quiet worry.

Before he could even ask, Imlie quickly cleared her throat, "Actually, Aryan Sir mujhe tumse kuch request karna tha."

[English: Before he could even ask, Imlie quickly cleared her throat, "Actually, Aryan Sir I wanted to make a request to you."]

Aryan groaned. He hated it whenever she became formal with him. She had only called him Aryan once before and that was only when he had almost died. But she soon had reverted back to calling him by his titles. Oh how he would do anything for her to drop his titles from his name when she addressed him. He got up again. "Imlie what the heck! Mein tumhara sir naahi hoon, naahi boss babu, aur naahi tumhara stupid sa babu saheb, ok!" [English: Imlie what the heck! I am not your sir, nor your boss babu, nor your stupid babu saheb, ok?]

Aryan's frustration was quickly hushed seeing Imlies face fall. She had also gotten up. "Tum humpe itna gussi-awat kahay ho," Imlie asked. [English: "Why are you getting so angry at me"]

Aryan grimaced. "Imlie mera woh matlab nahi tha. Sorry. Mujhe woh kehna nahi chahiye tha. I didn't mean it." [English: Aryan grimaced. "Imlie, I didn't mean that. Sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I didn't mean it]

"Koi baat nahi. Hum toh sirf woh dharamshala ki baat karna chahte the lekin hum baad mein baat kar lenge" she said. But only Aryan knew the disappointment in her voice. [English: It's ok. I just wanted to ask you about the charity organization but I can always talk to you later about it, she said. But only Aryan knew the disappointment in her voice]

Imlie was half way towards the back door when he caught himself and followed after her.

"Imlie sorry! I just hate jab tum mujhe sir ya phir boss babu kheti ho." Aryan called out to Imlie as he tried to catch up beside her. [English: Imlie sorry! I just hate when you call me boss babu" Aryan called out to Imlie as he tried to catch up beside her.]

"But mujhe Aditya ko iske beech mein laana hi nahi chahiye tha. Uske liye sorry, Imlie." He added. [English: But I shouldn't have brought Aditya in between this. For that I am sorry, Imlie.]

Imlie paused and looked at Aryan's scrunched up face. He looked so guilty that it almost made her laugh. She was getting so used to his face and her favorite hobby these days was to irritate him.

The comfort with him had always existed, the trust was always there, but it had taken a while for her to actually realize it. She swallowed at the thought that this comfort had never existed when she had been with Babu Saheb. Adi had broken her completely but it was Aryan who had helped her put herself back together. Yes, she could have done it very well herself but in a world where she had fought so many battles alone, it was nice to lean on shoulders that would not let her down.

"Ab tum kuch kaho gi bhi ya nahi? I'm sorry Imlie!" Aryan asked desperately. [English: Now aren't you going to say something? I'm sorry Imlie", Aryan asked desperately]

Imlie jolted back into reality. Aryans concerned face gave her a playful idea and she gave a gentle nudge to Aryans shoulders. "Bole hum kuch?" [English: Should I say something?]

She then nudged the other one. And then back again. "Bole hum? Bole? Sach mein bole ya phir-" [English: Should I really say something? Should I? Should I really or-?]

"Imlie what is this. Stop! Stop it," Aryan whined. Imlie couldn't help but laugh at his annoyance. His "baritone" voice immediately came to a halt whenever he didn't get his way.

She didn't know when she stopped pushing him and started chasing him. They ran across the courtyard, laughing and stumbling. In this moment, it was difficult to tell who was chasing who and who was running away.

Aryan had lost his composure after the 2nd time Imlie had gently pushed him. Now he carried a big smile as he tried to doge another one of Imlies jabs. When he stumbled he saw a branch and grabbed it quickly. Imlie's agility came from the years she lived in Pagdandiya. But here, within these city limits, he had to make the playing field even somehow.

"Oye, yeh kya kar rahe ho. Yeh cheating hai Boss babu!" Imlie screeched on the other side of the swing.

[English: "Oye, what are you doing. This is cheating Boss Babu! " Imlie screeched on the other side of the swing.

Aryan smiled. Now they were even and he wasn't going to let her go this easily.

"Boss babu huh? Mein tumhara Boss babu lagta hoon? Acha, aao toh tum sahi. Abhi batata hoon." Aryan gently reached over and poked Imlie with the branch.

[English: "Boss babu huh? I look like your boss babu? Okay then why don't you come here for a second. I want to say something" Aryan gently reached over and poked Imlie with the branch.]

"Oye Amma! Yeh dekho tumhara ladka saandh ki tarha mere peeche par gaya hai. Didi!! Arpita didi, oof" she exclaimed as she dodged another one of his nudges.

[English: "Oye Amma! Look at what your son is doing! He is chasing me like a Saandh. Didi!! Arpita didi, oof" she exclaimed as she dodged another one of his nudges.]

"Acha toh tum mujhe Saandh keh sakti ho, Akkadbagga keh sakti ho, bhesiyaan keh sakti ho, lekin apne pati ka naam nahi. Tum ruko toh", Aryan lunged to get another jab to Imlie but before he could, Imlie side stepped and almost tripped before Aryan grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him.

[English: "Oh so you can call me Saandh, and Akkadbagga, and you can even call me a bhesiyaan but you can't say your husbands name. Wait just right there!", Aryan lunged to get another jab to Imlie but before he could, Imlie side stepped and almost tripped before Aryan grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him.]

Imlie gasped for air against his chest. "Tum. Tum jeet gaye. Tum sach mein-" Imlie gasped for air. "Sach mein behsiyaan ho. Akkadbagga ho, Aryan Singh Rathore ho. Theek. Mujhe baksht do." [English: Imlie gasped for air against his chest. "You. You've won. You truly are-" Imlie gasped for air. "Truly are a behsiyaan. Akkadbagga. And Aryan Singh Rathore. Okay? Is that enough for you? Please now let me go".

Aryan let go. He swallowed his smile and adjusted himself. He really wanted to know if she was okay after he had just said Babu Sahebs name. But something about what had just occurred between them, made him forget this thought as well.

Imlie was busy brushing the tiny specks of dirt that had left residues on the areas he had poked her.

"Toh phir aaj se sirf Aryan? No Boss Babu? No Aryan Sir? Just Aryan." Aryan asked impatiently. [English: "So from now on, just Aryan? No Boss Babu? No Aryan Sir? " Aryan asked impatiently.

Imlie sighed still struggling to get her breath. Here she was nervous about asking him if Bhaskar Times could partner with the local NGO and instead the CEO of this gigantic Newspaper company was begging her to drop these titles of respect. "Jo tum kaho Aryan", Imlie smiled with a mocking salute. [English: "Whatever you say Aryan", Imlie smiled with a mocking salute.]

"Thank you." Aryan whispered. This time Imlie was caught off guard. Did he really just thank me. She grimaced. The pain of this last year was somehow leeching into her life and affecting those around her too. Was she breaking him?

Aryan Singh Rathore. The one and only. Who never apologized. Who never said anything twice, was thanking her? She didn't want to admit it but she knew that these last few weeks, Aryan always seemed to find his way to her. She didn't know when those still and dark eyes began to show hints of fear. Was she breaking him? Was the poison that was causing her so much pain slowly weakening him too?

She thought back to a few minutes ago. Pati. He had called himself her pati. Aryan was still standing close to her, reading her face as well as he could read the back of any newspaper. He had already claimed this title for himself but it had always been her using words like Sir and Mr. to draw distance between them. Was this distance the reason for his pain?

Aryan never said anything he didn't mean. So it was official. Not just on paper and through customs, but Aryan Singh Rathore believed that he was her husband and she was his wife.

She thought for a second and began, "Ek baat batay hum tumko?...Sir, boss babu, aur hazaron naam mein dedoon tumhe thaaki aisa lage duniya ko ki mein tumhe izzaat karti hoon. Lekin sach toh yahi hai ki zubaan kuch bhi kahe, mera dil humesha kheta hai ki tum issi izzat ke layak ho. Issli no thank me. I thank you, ki tum iss layak ho ki mein yeh kahoon ki tum, Aryan Singh Rathore, mere pati ho aur yahi humara haqeeqat hai.-

[English: She thought for a second and began, "Can I tell you something?..Sir, boss babu, or even the thousand titles that I can give to you so that the world things that I respect you- don't matter. The reality is that my lips can say anything, but my heart always says that you are worthy of these titles. You are worthy of my respect. Which is why you shouldn't thank me. I thank you, that you are a person worthy enough to be called my husband, Aryan Singh Rathore. And this is our reality."]

Lekin phir bhi agar tumhe kabhi bhi lage ki mein kuch zyada hoon. Takleeef de rahi hoon ya phir bhoj-"

[English: But even then, if you ever feel like I am being too much, that I am hurting you, or that I am burden-]

"Chup Imlie. Tum bhoj nahi ho aur tumne socha bhi kaise ki tum mujhe takleef de sakti ho"

[English: Quiet Imlie. You aren't a burden. How could you even think that you could even hurt me?]

Aryan interrupted her. If he was honest to himself, he was having a hard time resisting pulling her into him again. How could she even think such a thing. It was true he had been broken and maybe she was still broken, but together they were healing each other.

"Ab chale, bhot raat hogayi hai. Tumhare Boss Babu ko sona bhi hai." Aryan exclaimed.

[English: Lets go, it is getting late and your Boss babu needs to sleep", Aryan exclaimed]

"Boss Babu nahi, Aryan", she corrected him, bringing just a hint of a smile back to Aryans face.
