Is Pritam More Successful Music Director than Rehman, Anu Malik, Jatin Lalit, Anand Miland , Nadeem Sharavan?

Since Dhoom there was no looking back for almost  2 decades ...

IMHO, no, Nadeem Shravan has seen much bigger success, Pritam's success isn't that huge, volume of work can be more, not success.

Aashiqui, Raaz all were huge musical hits, sold millions of audio cassettes & CDs, while none of Pritam's film music has that much scale of success.

Pritam stopped giving quality albums years ago.

Anand-Milind, Nadeem-Shravan were the most consistent in delivering albums for as longa s they were active, followed by Jatin-Lalit (who mainly gave hits for bigger banners).

but if we see quality wise , pritam made much different tracks, like of Nadeem shravan music were too monotonous they had so much repitative tunes to their credit,,,,, and also quantity wise anand miland were out of market during 2000, nadeem shravan did few films after 1999,  so they were active for about 10 years to say, but pritam is working for more than 2 decades now

Raaz 2 was given to Nadeem Shravan in 2008 but due to their outdated style of music it went to other music directors,

and regarding pritam not giving good tracks recently i think this song is 2 years old classy in its own way , i dont listen to new generation music but was amazed by this superb track

Selling audio cassates is an outdated parameter to judge now, no one buy or sell cassettes since last 20-25 years with the advent of internet music, but if we judge on consistency within industry pritam has had much longer innings

Your views on NS music are your POV. I was answering your question, Aashiqui sold 2 Cr cassettes & CDs, which was a Rage Level, a new film, new hero/heroine, we can hope if a big star's new film comes, fans love to go for its music, but a response which Aashiqui received was ming boggling for trade.

Yes, they copied tunes from Nusrat Saab's music, so did Pritam, no one is dudh ka dhula, the only difference is how much the work is loved.

You talking about Pritam, but since today also, Tum hi Ho is the biggest hit song of the past decade and still, there is no song that can match its popularity, that isn't from Pritam, from Mithoon.

Seriously, what world do you live in ðŸ˜†

The 90s music composers were much better in terms of quality and sales and had fans in every tier city. Post 2000s composers, barring maybe someone like Himesh have had a niche audience...maybe a few albums might be the exception but that's about it.

There's a reason why 90s albums are still popular in villages and cities and are still fresh in people's minds.

Pritam has his own fan base, but its no where close to the 90s composers, who also managed to woo listeners of all age groups.

I can't believe he's saying cassettes are an outdated way to judge sales...like that was the prime medium until CDs and later the internet took over!

Ya toh tabhi internet bhej do, phir pure stats mil jayenge ðŸ˜†

Not to forget, lots of copies were sold in black, so imagine what the sales must've been like!

As i said that forget how many cassate sold or not its same like saying this or that song has 200 million views blah blah blah , there are many pritam songs with unknown actors crossing millions of views, what i am saying is that pritam still is popular while nadeem shravan got dated since 1999 only , and regarding copy everyone does it ,,,, but nadeem shravan songs sound so much alike and monotonous that is why kumar sanu sound too limited in their songs , the real potential of kumar sanu was used by likes of jatin lalit and anand miland , there was no room for the growth of nadeem sharavan's fav kumar sanu in their music ,

in term of composers Shankar-ehsan-loy, pritam, vishal shekher, saleem suleman , himesh , rehman created the market of their own , 90's music now are only limited to 90s kids , it no more is heard by general public like it used to be , it sound dated and now are specified as rikssha driver or bus driver kind of songs  ....while the crop of composers after 90's pick any song of them it still sound so fresh even after 18-20 years of the song
