It has increased his anger towards adi, which in turn he spilled on imlie, which might influence imlie's decision to give adi a chance, maybe?

Technically it was only few hours for adi in new dept and no sane person would expect an accurate forecast from him. But adi can't be a baby saying his colleagues lied to him as there's no proof, pure office politics. Adi is badly trapped.
