so something i want to point out is aryan today says adi deserves nothing (and of course doesn't clarify to arpita) but he told imlie the same day that he didn't do anything that imlie didn't already deserve and i one, want that in an edit, and two (more importantly) i think that might get to the crux of all this

imlie doesn't deserve to have adi breathing down her neck and making her miserable at work and aryan knows she can't/won't be able to keep standing up to adi (at least based on what we've seen) and/or aparna (looks at entire house situation) so maybe that's what's lead to the "marry me and be free from adi and also adi won't get screwed by me" (tho he would say it in different terms obvs)
