DJ Aqeel jumps on Nach Baliye bandwagon

Remixes music for contestants to perform on

Ever wondered why the music tracks on Nach Baliye have that added zing to them? Well, that's because DJ Aqeel (of 'Kajra re Remix' fame) has been working on the numbers to make them peppier and make them suit the themes of each episode. Aqeel for his part confirms the news.

He says, "When I got this offer, I was thrilled. I like remixing songs and I also liked this show a lot because of its unique concept. I think it is a hit show. So remixing songs for the show was like a double treat."

Although Aqeel is taken in by the popularity of the show, one cannot forget how the initial enthusiasm of designer Anna Singh fizzled out. Tell him that and he says, "I have already recorded for them and have finished remixing and recording about 16 songs, so there is no problem of adjusting schedules."

There is perhaps little doubt that with him at the console, the show will only get more energetic.

As for this week's episode, the couples will dance to traditional and folk numbers. Sachin and Supriya will dance to 'Dhagala lagli gala…'
