I am not saying the law is right. I am just pointing out Abhimanyu's behavior was really aggressive. No one wants someone else forcing themselves into their house. And how is it wrong that Manish called the police? How else is he supposed to handle this? Like breaking some chairs. Abhimanyu is all about force force and more force.

Now fans will come crying I want Abhimanyu shot and dead! 😵

You were spot on - there are dozens of cases like this every year in the US and in every single case I've heard of, the perpetrator was shot dead and the homeowner was not even arrested.

What JIJAJI did was pretty extreme.

(it's why I didn't want my post for all to see...)

Seriously? This is what I call the Gen Z behaviour. It's like saying, you can't post food photos because that will trigger body image issues, bulimia and other eating disorder. And when you put a trigger warning, they are like don't use trigger but content because it affects people who are traumatized by being at gun point. I am not saying these are not traumas. But constantly censoring speech is not the right thing. It's not gonna change anything. We need systemic change not complaining. They are capable of watching this regressive toxic shit but they are not okay with this. Like Seriously? smiley29

Isn't the desired thing to be free of the trauma? How does censuring speech enable this? Traumas should be overcome right? I don't mean to be insensitive, I've faced situations myself that can be categorized as childhood traumas in GenZ speak, what Im trying to say is.. the point is that you have to overcome those, not tiptoe around them.. I mean this only for the lesser serious issues not for something really bad like abuse, rape etc..

In fact what these people categorize as trauma esp. wrt abhi and akshu isn't even..it just growing pains and generation gap!

Safe spaces and trigger warnings are hot-button topics but there are mandates everywhere - at least around me. At my exam yesterday, a person asked for extra time because the language on one of the questions was triggering for them. Not saying if it was true or false or correct or not, but this person got an extra hour to answer questions on their self-testimony than the rest of us...

I mean, we kind of are... My feeling is it's because our existence is much more self-centered and solipsistic than any previous generation. Today anyone with access to a computer can have a platform to broadcast their slightest thought, word, deed for the whole world to see. People get excited when celebrities acknowledge their comments on Insta or retweet them - there's a level of access across the celebrity divide that didn't exist ever before. Makes people feel self-important and that makes them expect special treatment... there's a sense of general entitlement which was present only in the very elite and privileged in previous generations. That's my two cents anyway...

Yeah there's a minefield waiting to explode in the most mundane social or educational or professional interaction these days.
