My dude, I'll tell you true story.
My dad was the middle child. His older sister was favoured to the max, his younger bro to the max, and he was just... there. The only one of them who was raised more by his grandparents (this was right after the rubber estate times in Malaysia).
And he's the most disciplined and strict one out of all of them.
And... i see the exact same shit happening with my younger sis. She's soo... well, exactly like you described your dad lol.
So yeah, general statements sometimes hold 110% truth.
I had my first beer with my dad😆 although I didn't like it's taste , baaki I had wine one time with my friend , usse zyada nahi. I'm not used to drinking and not keen to drink too , I don't like the taste and smell. Even the beer and wine I stopped with maybe 3 sips🤢 so i'mma taste things not drink them🤣
