Author's note
Hello guys! This is my first fanfiction! I have never written anything of this sort so if you think that I'm lacking then please be kind. Do leave suggestions and your thoughts on this piece.
Background information of this story:
In this story, Shiva and Raavi haven't been married yet (I absolutely adore pre-wedding Shivi)! Raavi and Shiva still hate each other for the reasons shown in the show. Also, Raavi doesn't have a crush on Dev in this one!
Happy reading!! đ
Kuch Is Tarah
âHaye nazar na large,'' Raavi squealed as she saw Anita in her bridal outfit. âAaj toh aap sab se zyada khubsoorat dikh rahe ho di! Hardik jiju dekhenge toh behos ho jayenge!â
âHo Raavi! Tu toh bolti thi ki Somnath ki sabse sundar ladki tu hai. Toh aaj yeh kya keh rahi hai?â Anita chortled.
âWaise toh Somnath ki sabse sundar ladki mein hoon⌠par aaj ke din aap ko Somnath ki sabse zyada sundar ladki hone ka haq hai! Akhir aapki shaadi jo hai.'' She giggled as she hugged her sister with affection. Raavi suddenly heard the sound of band baaja and jumped with excitement. She ran towards the window and saw the baarat approaching the wedding venue.
âAapka dulha aagaya Anita di.â

âHaan Dhara bhabi meine sherwani pehenli hai! Haan meine naha liya hai!â Shiva replied as he hurriedly locked Pandya Niwas and left for the wedding venue. He was supposed to leave with the rest of the family but due to an emergency that had occurred at the store, he had to stay back.
When he finally arrived at the wedding location, the wedding rituals had already begun. As he tried to search for Dhara, he saw his childhood nemesis, Mami Ki Behen Ki Beti, laughing her heart away at a joke that one of her friends had cracked. Only her face could be seen from where he stood, but even that was enough for his mood to go south. He rolled his eyes and once again searched for Dhara.
âShiva hum idhar hai!â Dhara yelled as she saw her confused devar walking aimlessly around the vicinity.
Shivaâs face brightened and a warm smile spread across his face. He walked toward his family and sat down.
âWah Shiva! Iss white chickenkari sherwani mein toh tu hero lag raha hai! Mein toh almost faint hogaya tha tujh ko dekh kar mere bhai,'' Krish yelled with a hearty smile.
âEh nautanki tu shaadi pe focus kar na! Mujhe kyu dekh raha hai?â Shiva blurted in an annoyed tone.
âAb mein tujhe compliment bhi nahi de sakta kya??â Krish made a pouty face. âRaavi sahi bolti hai! Tujhse baat karna bekar hai!â Krish crossed his arms and frowned.
âHaan toh jaa na us chipkali ke pass! Yeha kya khada hai,'' Shiva retorted with vigour. The mention of her name made him realise that the Chudail hadnât approached him yet, even though it had been a good fifteen minutes since he arrived. On a normal day, she wouldâve pestered him by now. He looked at the spot where he had seen her giggle with her Chipkali friends but he found her absent. Shiva had always hated her presence but the lack of her presence made him equally if not more, disorientated.

Raavi had in fact seen Shiva. She saw him sitting with his family and wanted to go up to him and annoy him as usual but she controlled herself. She knew that this was a big day for her sister so she purposely decided to stay at a distance from Shiva so the wedding atmosphere wouldnât be disturbed by their squabbles.

Shiva was walking toward the banquet hall when saw some of his friends at a far off corner.
âAree, tum log yaha?â Shiva questioned the group of boys who sat in a gang-like manner as they occupied a decent amount of seats.
âHaan Shiva bhai, humein Dev aur Krish ne bulaya!â One of the members responded.
"Waise tum log yaha kyu bethee ho? Udhaar mere saath bethon." Shiva suggested as he pointed towards where he was planning on sitting.
âSorry Shiva bhai. Hum yaha kuch important kaam kar rahe hai so we canât move,â Rahul murmured.
âAaj Sneha kitni gazaab dikh rahi hai! Pata nahi tha ki woh itni acchi dikh ti hai saree mein,â Rishi cried.
Shiva looked at the group of boys suspiciously as he realised what their âimportantâ task was. He blamed their raging hormones for this and started to walk toward the banquet hall.
âSneha ko chod woh dulhan ki behen ko dekh! Kya dikh rahi hai yaar.â Rahul gushed as he made dreamy eyes.
Shiva stopped. He turned towards Rahul. âKiski baat kar raha hai tu?â Rahul physically turned Shiva towards the view that enchanted him. Shiva saw the clueless Raavi serving drinks to the guests, showing her usual baatisi. She was adorned in a lavender saree with her soft curls flowing down her back. The colour complimented her milky white skin, making her look even more beautiful. Shiva immediately shook his head as he felt shocked at his own thoughts. After all, this Mami ki Behen ki Beti and the word âbeautifulâ didnât belong in the same sentence. Nope. Never.
Shiva was done with this madness so he tried to walk away. Before he could leave, Rahul once again grabbed his shoulders and blurted, âlook at her figure Shiva! Chalti hai toh lagta hai ki koi apsara chal rahi hai." Annoyingly enough, Shiva once again turned his head to look at Raavi. He noticed her pallu that had been tucked into her waist giving glimpses of her curves. He wondered when she got those luscious curves.
âShiva tu toh usse jaanta hai. Meri aur uski setting karwa de na!â Rahul requested with enthusiasm.
Shiva rubbed his head with extreme annoyance. With a surgery yet slightly threatening tone, Shiva stated, âsorry yeh mein nahi kar sakta. Aur uske aas pass jaane ki soch na bhi mat." Rahul looked stunned.
Shiva walked towards where Raavi was and tried to speak to her but something strange happened. Despite seeing him walk towards her, she changed her direction and went towards Kaanta kaki to offer her some cold drinks. This made Shiva pissed off. But why was he feeling so angry? He didnât want to give any importance to this Chipkali, so he decided to let go of the irritation and enjoy the wedding.
When he later went to the mandap, he once again saw Raavi. She was distributing flowers to everyone so the guests could throw them when the pheraâs took place. He patiently waited for her to approach him and give him some flowers too but she skilfully avoided him. What the hell? He thought to himself. What had happened to this Chipkali? Why was she acting so distant? Did he do something?? Maybe it's because he threw her outside his house yesterday. But he does that all the time. Whatever the reason was behind this Chipkaliâs behaviour, he was getting provoked.
Shiva had to talk to her since he couldnât stop feeling agitated by Raaviâs odd behaviour. He followed her and tried to reach her. Shiva noticed Rahul walking toward her. He once again felt his anger resurface as Rahul tried to talk to Raavi and even hold her hand. How dare he? When Shiva tried to walk toward them, he bumped into Kaanta kaki and her drink fell all over his sherwani. Kaanta kaki immediately apologised. She soon called Raavi to help Shiva, since she couldnât find anyone else in the vicinity who couldâve helped him.

Raavi took him to the room at the back of the hall where the gifts were being kept. She handed him another sherwani that was brought as an extra by her Masupa.
âShiva tu change karlein mein bahar jaati hoon,â she said and then took her leave. However, as soon as Shiva took off his sherwani and was about to wear the new sherwani, she once again entered the room. Raavi quickly shut the door and turned around.
Her eyes fell on Shivaâs naked torso. She gulped as her eyes examined the broadness of Shivaâs back and his huge biceps. His strong features put even Ranveer Singh to shame.
Shiva turned around at the sound of the door opening. He was confused to see her again. âAye Mami ki Behen ki Beti! Tu phir aagayi?â Shiva yelled.
Raavi came out of her trance-like state. She cursed her brain for having such thoughts about this Bhootnath. How can this bandar compete with Ranveer Singh? She blamed her romantic novels for her wicked thoughts and mentally decided to never read them again.
âKuch bolegi bhi ya nahi?â Shiva asked while glaring at her.
âWoh mein kisi se hide kar rahi hoon,â she replied while she looked down. Was she blushing? Shiva thought to himself.
âTujhe kisi se chup ne ki kya jarorat? Tu toh khud chudail hai.â Shiva laughed at his own comeback.
Raavi rolled her eyes. âHa-ha-ha very funnyâ
âWaise tu kis se chup rahi hai?â Shiva asked curiously.
âWoh Rahul se. Aaj subah se mujhe parishaan kiye ja raha hai. Aur ab mujhe usse koi aur baat nahi karni. Bada irritating sa hai.â Raavi narrowed her eyes and made a pouty face. âWoh abhi bahar khada hai, iss liye mein yaha aagayi chup ne.â
Shiva smirked to himself as he felt happy that even Raavi didnât like that Magarmach.
âTu change karle mein aakh band kar leti hoon,â Raavi then covered her eyes with her hands. Shiva couldnât believe how innocent she looked while covering her eyes. His eyes landed on her plump lips that had been coated in rose pink. He wondered what she would taste like. Maybe roses? He hit himself on his head to stop his brain from thinking any further. Shiva quickly wore his new sherwani and told her that he was done.
Raavi looked outside and saw that Rahul was gone. She looked at Shiva and told him that she was going to leave. Before she could leave, Shivaâs calloused hands reached for Raaviâs hands in an attempt to stop her from leaving. Shivaâs touch made Raavi burn. It felt like her right hand that he held onto would set on fire any second.
âEk baat bata, tu aaj mujhe ek baar bhi pareeshaan karne kyu nahi aayi? Har roz toh Pandya Niwas mein aajati hai bhootni ki tarha,'' he snapped.
âNahi toh! Mein toh bas busy thi shaadi ki kaam mein.â Raavi said while looking down because she knew she was lying.
He walked towards her and in a similar manner, Raavi kept taking a step backwards until she hit the wall. There was nowhere to go now. Shiva placed his arms on both ends, trapping Raavi against the wall.
âShiva yeh tu kya kar raha hai? Mujhe bahot kaam hai! Mujhe jaane de.â Raavi spoke as she continued to avoid eye contact with Shiva.
âPehle tu mujhe bol ki kyu tu mujhe ignore kar rahi thi,â Shiva blurted while he kept his gaze on Raavi.
âTheek hai! Jab bhi tu aur mein baat karte hai, humara jhagda ho jata hai⌠Aaj meri dii ki shaadi hai so I didnât want today to get ruined for anyone because of our fights,â she finally retorted as she looked up at him. Shiva felt his breath stop for a second as her hazel orbs met with his. She looked like a doll. Suddenly he felt conscious of their proximity and decided to let go.
âAHHHHHHHHHHH CHIPKALIIIII!â Raavi suddenly screamed and latched onto Shiva. Her hands sprawled over Shivaâs long torso and her head lay on his broad chest.
Shiva was intoxicated by Raaviâs sweet fragrance. She smells like jasmine. Shiva was growing uncomfortable with their position. He could feel Raaviâs chest dig into his well-built body. Her touch on his rough body was driving him mad.
âShiva waha chipkali hai! Mujhe bacha le,â Raavi screamed.
âYaha ki sabse badi chipkali tu hai! Chod mujhe!â Shiva tried to get rid of her but she clung harder to his body.
Shiva tried to spot the chipkali that Raavi had seen and threw a chapal that had been lying close to him at the chipkali.
âDekh Raavi woh chipkali marr gayi. Ab toh tu mujhe chod,â Shiva declared. His cheeks had turned slightly red by this point.
Raavi looked up and saw that the chipkali was indeed dead. She sighed in relief. Raavi turned towards Shiva and a part of her melted. His dark eyes intensely gazed into hers. Although, today his eyes held a softer look. It was different from the murderous looks he always threw at her. She decided that she liked Shiva more in rare moments like this.
Shiva saw Raaviâs eyes dilate. Her rosy lips slightly parted while her cheeks were stained in a magnificent shade of pink. He craved to touch her. Shiva wondered if she too felt the same way.
Something took over Shiva, maybe it was the same hormonal rush that he earlier accused Rahul and his friends of, but whatever it was, Shiva placed his sturdy arms around Raavi. She didnât protest the hug because she too desired the warmth of Shiva. She liked the feel of his strong arms around her delicate figure. She felt safe in his arms. Having him around her felt right. As if only she were allowed to be in his embrace and no one else.
âRaavi tu kaha hai! Vidaai ka samya ho raha hai! Jaldi aah!â Prafulla yelled from a distance.
Raavi quickly removed herself from his embrace. âMujhe jaana hogaâŚmein pehle jaati hoon aur uske baad tu anna⌠kisi ne hame saath dekh liya toh kisi ko galat idea aah sakta hai,â she murmured while keeping her gaze on the floor. For the first time, she felt shy in the presence of Shiva.
âHaan theek hai,â Shiva replied while also avoiding eye contact with Raavi.
Raavi fixed her saree and finally took her leave.

Both Raavi and Shiva had physically left but their hearts and souls lingered around the room where they shared the intimate hug. Remembering the instance brought shivers and goosebumps to both bodies. Perhaps the possibility of what couldâve happened between them if Prafulla hadnât interrupted was too big for both of them to ignore.
Later that night, in the comfort of their own presence, the young hearts smiled to themselves as their minds kept reminding them of each other⌠in more ways than just hugging.
