It’s only because I am in west that I can at least wear it outside when my extended family members are not around me. And right now too I don’t just wear hijab. I always have to wear burka with it or at minimum a long coat something. Hijab is not enough.

Your family forcing you to wear it is just as wrong as people forcing women to remove it.

Just like you don’t appreciate being forced to wear it there are many who don’t like being told to remove it.

You are living in US, are financially independent, your family seems very oppressive and you don’t seem very happy about it.. if this is making you so unhappy then remove it and then them you will move out if they keep pressuring you like this.

And the less one cares about extended families the better

I think we should also allow ghoonghat in schools and colleges because #mychoice . Also bring back sati because #mychoice Dont people realize how problematic they are sounding right now . All this just to prove your point

If there was no issue with girls wearing hijab in school, and this is blamed on Congress, then let us be smart and reverse this decision. Banning hijab in school is not empowerment. You are forcing a girl who has chosen to wear it to leave her school due to the ban.

Those comparing hijab with turban and nuns, can they answer if nuns and Sikh have been abducted, thrown acid on face, raped and killed for not having turban etc? There’s no comparison between hijab with other covering. Right now women are abducted, tortured and high possibility of being raped and killed in Afghanistan for protesting against hijab and other oppressive rules by Taliban, but shameless women in India are protesting for hijab for their own agenda. I have no tolerance for terrorists and terrorist sympathizers.

I keep seeing people having the freedom to protest in west and India protesting for hijab, but have they protested for the women who are forced to wear it? Have they ever? I have never seen a protest for that. All these privileged people do is sit in non-Muslim countries where they have the freedom to protest for their choice while women back in Afghanistan,Iran, Saudi etc are kidnapped, jailed and killed for the same disgusting hijab and niqab.

She purposefully ignored Digambara Jain question in your last post.

Most here would ignore it. Jains are a real marginal minority. They don’t matter. 😆

I cant go wearing salwaar kameez to give neet under pretext of #mychoice

If this was about a school/college in Karnataka, I don’t know if anyone wears Turbans there. Why are we arguing about something that is not even there? Or did they make it a rule in the entire Country?
