1) There was no issue with Muslim Girls wearing Hijab but why it happened just before Karanataka elections. It was carefully crafted by the Congress party.

2) The issue in Karnataka started after few girls who were motivated by a radical organisation SDPI Campus front of India to wear Burqa in the garb of creating it as Political issue. Some of the girls have accepted this fact that SDPI came to them in January.

3) Hijab was still not a problem but these girls wearing Burqa led to escalation of the issue and somewhere it got mixed up with Hijab, where some girls made it about "Pehle aayga Hijaab, Phir Aayegi Hath Mein Kitaab".

4)This is where the problem started, our educational systems have Uniform for equality and uniformity. Earlier when Hijab was overlooked suddenly because of this issue made people realised that Hijab wasn't a mandate but a matter of choice. So it can be avoided in schools and colleges. Or girls can study in those institutions where they include choice of wearing Hijab.

5) Indian Constitution gives autonomy to Educational institutions to create rules on dress code which is above individual rights it's mentioned in Kerala HC judgement.

6) How is Muslim Girl wearing Hijab and Sikh boy wearing Turban same thing? It's hilarious when people equate the two. Actually Scratch hilarious those doing have communal intent. Hijab can be equated to Goonghat not to Turban. 🤦🏻‍♂️

both garments are religious requirement. One for women, one for men. Unless for you, women's religious choices are not equal to men? How are they different? Please do tell

Yes! Apparently a difficult concept to follow. And the ones speaking on behalf of Muslims, frankly, have no idea what they're talking about.

See I am a Hindu and I really don't have much idea about what is mandated in Islam....but I know that some people like to conform to their religion...there are Hindus who will wear sindoor no matter where they are...wear bindi...no matter where they are...there was a Bindi revolution recently to boycott all the products where models are not wearing Bindis....bhai theek hai..if people can follow their religous mandates without bothering anyone toh problem kya hai??

The USA allows Muslim women to wear hijab and Sikh men to wear turbans in the military with their uniforms. Yet somehow a college uniform cannot allow a hijab. How interesting.

Seriously ..this is the stupidest thing I have heard so far....so Turban is OK and Hizaab is not???😆Jews ka skull cap...Sikhs ka turban, muslims ka hijaab, Hindus ka sir pe sari rakhna, bindi lagana, sindoor lagana...nuns ka head cover...everything is OK...

Agreed both are religious requirements but what's the intent behind both. Why Sikh wear Turban and Why Muslim wears a Hijab?

Answer lies in Why was Goonghat made into an issue and removed from the society. Similarly why practices like Sati or Triple talaq were also removed.

See Hijab is still not an issue in society in large if it's not a mandate but a personal choice then atleast in educational institutions Muslim Girls can follow Uniform Code.

That's YOUR opinion. You're no different than someone from the west pointing fingers at women wearing Indian clothing compared to women wearing shorts and skirts in the USA and shouting this those clothes are regressive and taking away women empowerment. How is that any different?

Just because your opinion is different, you're shoving this onto Muslim women who are happily wearing the hijab. Ironic, because you're taking away THEIR RIGHT to decide what they want.

Anyways, for the people who have open minds and hearts on this forum for different cultures, religions, here's a hijabi rapper proudly representing herself. Her choice, her body.

yes please, let's hear it. Even in uniforms. I'm waiting.

There are Hindus here who have to wear bindis even if its a small dot...its inauspicious for them if an unmarried girl or a married woman don't wear a bindi....they wear bindi, a little sindoor in offices in USA...their girls attend school wearing a bindi....I can understand the apprehension about burqa and total face covering in airports for security reasons...but hijab can be allowed in schools....I personally don't see a problem with that.
