From what I have seen from the songs, my expectations are sky-high. The aesthetics of the films seem to be in the vein of Shakun Batra's second film 'Kapoor and Sons' -- intense, edgy, noirish elements.

Also, I like the way intimacy has been portrayed in the songs, there's an element of beauty and stillness, it goes beyond mere physical attraction.

Do you think it will resonate with audiences?

I'm really looking forward! Granted that Shakun is just 2 films old and Kapoor and Sons was very family-friendly, unlike this one, but his screenplays so far have been tight. If nothing else, I'll enjoy that at least,.

So many times in the recent past I've started watching a Hindi web series or film released or made for on an online platform, thinking it'll be something different and 99% of the time I've come away disappointed with the awful storytelling and lack of craftsmanship (Eg- The Great Indian Murder which I recently gave up 10 minutes in).

With this- at least the storyline seems a bit complicated (romance, infidelity, social climbing, ambition and crime perhaps?) and the characters are not basic.

I'm not going in expecting Citizen Kane but if I'm fully engaged, I'll give the team points for trying something new.

That is true, maybe there is minimal noise about it so far from the sorts who are likely to get offended for that exact reason.

I skip Deepika movies like the plague so I have no interest in this. The last Deepika movie I actually enjoyed was probably Chennai Express and Bajirao Mastani

I don't want affairs and cheating to be justified or glorified

I don’t like any of its actors for me to even want to try this movie. But if the WOM is really outstanding I may give it a try!
