A boy came running up to us and said, “Dr. Watson, Player, Mr. Holmes has asked you to come to Scotland Yard immediately.”

We exchanged glances, flagged down a passing cab, and immediately made our way to Scotland Yard. Both of us were definitely puzzled by the sudden call to Scotland Yard, but if Sherlock had called then it had to be important. As soon as we got off the cab, Gregson met us and ushered us inside. I tried to question Gregson, but he just kept pushing us along without answering any questions. When we finally got inside, we found Lestrade and Sherlock sitting in Lestrade’s office, quite relaxed. I asked, “What is happening here Sherlock?”

“Look in there,” Sherlock pointed to the jail cells.

Player and I walked over and looked inside to find the cells full. I recognized several people from Moriarty’s gang, people Sherlock and I had come up against in the years that we had pursued Moriarty. I asked, “Has Moriarty been caught as well? I don’t see him here.”

“Moriarty is dead,” Sherlock responded.

“What?” I whirled around, flabbergasted.

“Yes apparently he died just before that message from last time. Some type of accident. Moriarty was never calling the shots today either. He had set this day in motion before his death. His people were just following orders. Thanks to help from Mycroft, Lestrade, and Gregson, they’ve all been caught now. Even the ones overseas. His gang is finished. He is finished. Moriarty will be wiped from people’s minds, never to appear again. Game over,” Sherlock said.
