You couldn't have said it better. Literally. Till date that is the biggest question in my head. I think Namak Isk Ka feels good because of the scene afterwords. (I completely ignore what led to them having rituals) The fact that it's humor and sentiment that leads to their consummation is so comforting. I think it was beautiful that that was shot without any particular gaze. It was rather very beautifully intimate.
Honestly it's one of the most beautiful scenes in the show.
