If you rmbr, Amrik already had a sort of brief romantic interaction with Jasmine when she used him to spy on FT. I don't think those feelings went away. He just suppressed them, by overwhelming himself with disgust, hate etc. That's why he was easily susceptible to her manipulations when he cried like a baby. And now, that he has a sort "free pass" to act on those feelings, they could develop into this twisted dependent relationship, despite Amrik knowing it's bad for him, and he'll push it away in a false crusade to 'fix' Jasmine or some nonsense like that. He'll just fall further into her manipulations and then it'll be too late. This probably won't go to a dark Amrik path but if it does, he'll end up just not caring and being emotionless and numb to ignore his family's suffering and just become Jasmine's loyal pet.
