Part- 24:

Ram and Priya reached home around 8pm. Then they had their dinner with their family while occasionally speaking.
Nandhini was noticing the subtle changes in Ram's attitude towards her. He never disrespects her but he seemed to be little withdrawn from her. For a while she has been busy with her trip, now she can see things getting out of her hand. She can see Ram and Priya getting comfortable with eachother and she can't allow that. If Ram started to move on from his past, then they will be doomed. What irritated her most was the change in shubu's attitude. She had asked him to keep an eye on the couple and inform her but he never talked to her about them. What bothers her most was the respect in his eyes for Priya. Her son who does everything she said without a second thought is starting to avoid her. She have to save their future. She can't allow Ram to move on. Now only way to stop Ram from moving on is to rekindle the love he had on vedika. She have to use vedika in this matter.She decided to talk to vedika to know her stand.
Nandhini came out of her thoughts, when Ram shaked her.
Nandhini: haan
Ram: mom are you okey? Is everything alright?
Nandhini: I'm fine Ram, just tired with all these travelling.
Ram: Do you need any medicines mom? Or better shall I call the doctor?. You have not eaten anything.
Nandhini: No no I'm will be fine if take ample amount of rest. You don't worry. I don't want you to stress over this.
Ram: Ok mom, take rest and if you want anything call either me or Priya. We will help you. You don't exert yourself.
Priya: I will get you a glass milk mom. You can drink that if you don't feel like eating.
Priya brought the milk and handed it ram who made his mom drink it.
Nandhini: I'm full now. Thank you both of you.
Ram: Mom, It's our duty to look after you, why would you say thanks for that.
Nandhini: we are lucky to have you both. I will go and take rest. Good night.
Ram: Good night mom.
Priya: Good night mom.
Shubham: Good night bhabhi, good night Bhai
Both wished him good night and moved to their room.

Shubhu went to nandhini's room,
Shubhu: Mom are you fine?
Nandhini: Haan shubu
Shubhu: Mom, both Bhai and bhabhi really loves us. Even shivi is happy in her life. Now Bhai is helping me to settle down. Bhabhi takes care of me like her brother. Bhai always thinks about our future. We are indeed lucky to have them. Please don't do anything that will hurt Bhai or bhabi. We can be one happy family Mom. Think about it. They are really good people. Good night mom.
While Nandhini kept looking at his retreating figure.

Priya was sitting in the bed when Ram joined her. She looked little worn-out. Ram held out his hand and asked her to come near him. She placed her hand in his while he gathered her in his arms making her rest her head in his chest. He silently caressed her.She was playing with his kurta button.
Priya: Ram
Ram: kya hua biwi
Priya: I'm really fine. I feel pretty better after sharing with you. I know you understood what I said along with my unsaid words. I will never need anything anymore as I have you.

Ram looked at her, in the initial days after their marriage he had literally begged her to share with him and come to him if she need any help. But never once she came to him. Now, their love had made her feel secured that she is becoming vocal about her feelings. He is beginning to see how everyone including him were wrong about her. It's not that she never needed any support from anyone. The constant saying of her family how Priya is independent and she will take care of everything, she doesn't need anyone to handle her made her to accept that and act accordingly but still there is a child in her who longed for the safe protection. Her father had hurt her in many ways. Her father may not be treated her as a Princess. He vowed to himself that "she will be his queen and nothing can come near her to hurt her till he is alive".

Priya shook him lightly which brought him out of his thoughts.
Priya: Ram kya hua
Ram kissed her nose,"nothing I'm just happy to know that my wife loves me more".
Priya: aap bhi na.
Ram: so jao Priya, you are looking tired.
Priya: Hmm
Ram's soft caressing had lulled her to sleep in no time. He just stayed still admiring her.

After few minutes, his phone started to ring. He looked at Priya who was now in deep sleep so decided to attend his friends video call in the balcony. He slowly tried to remove himself from her but stopped seeing her hold getting tighter.
Priya: mat jao na ram.
She talked to him in her sleep. He didn't have the heart to leave her. So he decided to speak to his friends tomorrow. He kissed her forehead and covered them with a duvet before sleeping with her in his arms.

Saturday and Sunday went in a blur for Ram and Priya. They talked to their friends more in that two days. Everything was normal. Finally it was Monday, Ram was getting ready while Priya is helping him
Priya: you are looking so happy today
Ram: everyone is coming back today.
It seems like I haven't seen them for ages.
Priya smiled at him.
Ram: Today I have a late meeting Priya. Ask the driver to drop you home once you finished your work.
Priya: I can
Ram: Do as I said Priya.
Priya looked at him with frown.
Ram: I'm not asking you and I'm telling you to do. I have learnt this from my biwi.
Ram kissed her cheek and moved out before she can say anything. She smiled at his antics and went out after taking her bag along with his mobile which he forgot.
Both had their breakfast and went to their respective workplace.

Ram entered his cabin to find his friends waiting for him like he thought. He went and hugged them. All the four shared a group hug.
Ram: Missed you all so much. Hereafter Don't go leaving me alone even If I asked you guys.
He told that to them with a hint of tears in eyes.
Trio: Never ever Ram.
They hugged him again on seeing him emotional.
Ram: so how was the trip.
And they started talking about everything. Ram smiled listening to their banter thinking ' oh how much I missed this'
After spending some time together, all went to do their work. Lunch time was a crazy one. They ordered everything they can think of and enjoyed the food along with their never ending banter. Ram was very happy with his friends return but at the same he missed his wife.

It was evening, Ram was seeing the presentation of his staffs in the conference room.
Meanwhile, Brindha went straight into Adi's cabin along with Kunal whom she met on the way.
Bri: what are you doing adi?
Adi: arey baby when did you come?
Bri: Now only, where is ram?
Adi: He is in Meeting. Why are you here?
Bri: I came to meet my friends. It been long since I met ram and Priya. Idea. I will ask Priya to join us.
Adi: what is the plan?
Bri: I don't have one now. Let Priya and ram can come. Then we will decide.
Kunal: Come on let's wait in Ram's cabin.
Adi: you two go. I will come with vik.
Bri, Kunal nodded and went towards Ram's cabin.
Bri saw shubu who was walking looking into his phone.
Bri: shubu
Shubu turned to see brindha waving at him. So he started walking towards her.
Bri: how are you?
Shubu: I'm fine di. How are you?
Brindha and Kunal gawked at him listening to his di for brindha. Seeing them gawking at him, he sheepishly smiled.
Shubu: I can call you di right?
Bri: Ofcourse you can, afterall you are like a brother to us. Are you free shubu?
Shubu: yes di.
Bri: Then why don't you join us.
Shubhu nodded his head in affirmation.
Bri: Then come on, let's go inside.
Bri walked into Ram's cabin along with calling Priya and asking her to come to the office.
All of them got settled comfortably in Ram's cabin.
Shubu: so what is the plan?
Kunal: let bhabhi can come, then we will decide.
Bri: I will call her again.
Priya attended the call saying she had entered the office and will be there in a minute.
Priya entered the room only to find her husband missing. She was slightly disappointed as he was not there but started smiling when brindha took her in bone crushing hug.
They started sharing their pleasantries.

Meanwhile Ram's assistant called him and informed him about Priya's visit.
Ram ended the meeting abruptly asking them to continue tomorrow as he can't concentrate now without knowing the reason for her visit as she didn't say anything to him even when they spoke during lunch time.

Ram entered his cabin to see brindha sitting in his chair, while shubu and adi sitting in the chair opposite to her vikrant and Kunal was sitting on his table while his wife was standing near brindha. All were busy laughing.

He cleared his throat to gain their attention, the first one to look at him was his wife. She gave him a smile that made him feel butterflies in stomach. He smiled at her and rushed to hug brindha.
Ram: Missed you so much bri.
Bri: Even I missed you so much Ram. That's why I came to meet you unlike you.
Ram: what jaan?
Bri: Don't Jaan me.

They were disturbed by Ram's assistant.
Assistant: sir, the next meeting of yours have been cancelled.
Ram: thank you. Do I have any other appointments?
Assistant: No sir, you are free for the day .
Ram: Thank you. You may go.
Bri: superb. Ram let's go somewhere, even you are free.
Ram: why not. Priya is it okey for you?
Priya nodded her head.
Bri: wow, asking wife's permission and all haan, adi learn something from Ram.
Adi: Ram
Ram: I just asked her to know whether she is free or not.
Bri: Achaaa
Vik: Now tell us what's the plan
Ram: woh
Before he can continue they were rudely interrupted by Vedika along with apologetic assistant of Ram.
Bri: what the hell
Assistant: sir, I asked her to wait outside but she never listened to me.
Ram: It's okey. You can go.
Bri: vedika, do you even know the word called decency. You are barging into our private space.
Shubu: what are you doing here?Bhai what is she doing here?
Ram: How will I know?
Vedika: Ram I need to talk to you alone.
Bri: don't you have any manners. You are not at all apologetic. When will you change this arrogant attitude of yours.
Priya: bri
Listening to her voice, brindha turned towards her shocked
Priya: bri relax, it's okey.
Bri: what did you call me?
Priya: bri kyun?
Bri: this is the first time you calling me bri. Oh how sweet it was.
Ram: it was very sweet.
Bri: haina jaan
Ram: Haan
Priya: Tum bilkul pagal ho ra I mean Mr. Kapoor jaisi.
Ram: oh hello, we are not stupid. We are just expressive. Haina bri.
Vedika: woh toh hai. Vedika today you got saved from me because of Priya. Meri jaan ki jaan mujhe bri bolo, woh bhi for the first time, isliye tumhe maaf Kiya.
Ram: bri tum sachi meh pagal ho.
Priya: shut up bri.

Adi was silently watching Ram, he was surprised with Ram's reaction towards vedika. He never once talked to her and most importantly he never stopped brindha from scolding vedika. All the while Ram's eyes lingered only on his wife. There was subtle smile mixed with blush on Priya's face. His friend has really moved on. Finally their ram got the much needed closure that he wanted from his past. Adi was surprised that his wife failed to notice the change in Ram towards vedika.
Adi: vedika if you want you can come tomorrow, today Ram is little busy.
Vedika: Ram please, it's an urgent.
Ram: It's okey vedika, we can talk now.
Shubhu got angry listening to him. He will never allow anyone to hurt his bhabhi.
Shubham: bhabhi mujhe aaj apke haath ka briyani chahiye.
Ram: Today you all can go to restaurant shubu.
Shubhu came and linked his arms with priya.
Shubu: bhabhi you will cook for me right
Priya: ofcourse, we will have dinner at our home.
Vikrant: Priya mujhe paav baaji.
Adi: Priya mujhe Gobi ka paratha.
Priya smiled and nodded at them
Kunal came and linked his arms on the other side of Priya.
Kunal: bhabhi mujhe halwa chahiye.
Priya : bilkul
Ram: stop it guys, we can go to restaurant.
Kunal: you be busy with your old friend, we are going home with bhabhi.Chalo shubu.
Kunal signalled shubu to move forward. Shubu nodded at Kunal.
Shubu and Kunal started dragging Priya (who was in middle between the both with her arms linked to either of them) with them. While she shouted
Priya: arey, Mera bag
Bri: Don't worry Priya, I have taken it.
Bri took Priya's bag and followed the trio pushing vikrant before her signalling adi to follow them.
Ram: arey ruko na
But they have long gone. Ram cursed under his breath.

Adi smiled seeing his frustration, he went forward and hugged Ram.
Ram was confused with his gesture, While adi whispered I am happy for you Ram in Ram's ear.
Ram: Adi run away before I do something to you.
Adi smiled cheekily at him.
Ram: vedika come on, take your seat.
Sorry for the delay.
Vedika: It's okey ram. Actually I'm the one disturbing you. Sorry.
Ram: It's not problem yaar. Afterall you are my friend. Now come on sit.
Vedika looked at adi,
Vedika: Ram it's bit personal. I want to speak to you alone. Shall we go to your favourite coffee shop?
Ram looked at her in dilemma, when adi spoke up.
Adi: oh don't mind me vedika. I'm leaving anyways. I won't miss our bhabhi's food for silly matter. You both can have the privacy you need in this cabin. Ram I'm going with them. You come once you finished with this.

Ram looked at adi with a puppy face which made adi to laugh.
Adi: They will be waiting for me. So bye Ram.
Ram: bye.
Adi went away leaving sulking Ram and happy vedika behind.

Thank you dear, this is one of the best gifts for my birthday today) Poor Ram is stuck with this sticky woman, but the idea of taking Priya together was very fun) Shubhu is getting more and more happy) Now I'm looking forward to Ram breaking Vedika and finding a way soon go to his wife.
