Geet was sent in place of her twin brother. Now that we are in Nagar and know that her biological family and the whole system here is so regressive. Where women have no choice, no voice. Then the decision to send a girl? And to believe the girl will be accepted as the premier of the State!! What were they (Geet's father and associates) thinking?

True. But the way women were/are treated in their own part of the country, and to think a Girl could serve the purpose. Gender of the chosen child therefore matters.
