Sid was very closely connected with the show - infact one of Sana's and his last visits together was to the OTT version of this show and he had come to BB14 as well so the channel paying tribute to him is not so unusual.
As to why Sana, who else was he closer to in the show that they would invite. Rashmi of ""Marta hua pada rahega, main paani tak nai puchungi" ko toh bulane se rahein.
And when he was alive both he and Sana were going together to various shows so why would Sid be so upset about it and his family if they were upset, would have spoken about it as they already have about Vishal Kotian's project.
