I mean there's no lie right ? 🤣 Let's be honest, I mean when we jumped in, someone of us weren't even sure if they were the endgame (still aren't I guess, I mean it's a Gul show ) but by god, once you see them on screen, just the proximity is enough to scramble your mind (All it took for me was an Insta clip) and then toh if you follow the show, you are Go Goa Gone. plus with the rathore’s I don’t see them hung up on the whole class/ city v. Villager semantics. They’re an anomaly. Narmada (sp?) has envisioned arylie from the get go (GO AUNTY, OG SHIPPER) and has never once considered Imlie to not be good enough for her son. She also hasn’t had any reservations or second thoughts about Imlie being a divorcee, she’s v supportive of the “Get over BS and get under ASR” train.

In contrast to the middle class tripati’s (anus words) who saw Imlie good enough to be the maid or the village girl they took under their wing but not good enough to be their bahu.

Imlie doesn’t have to win any hearts or convince the rathores which gives me hope for arpita and sundar.

Imlie, I feel, will really struggle with her feelings because she thought she loved BS-jiju even though it wasn't really 'love'... their whole equation was so platonic. In contrast arylie is all the fire, the passion, the angst. There is attraction.

Once she overcomes the inner struggle it would be a sight to watch her trip over her words, blush and all that while ASR teases and flirts with her once he is assured that she is indeed in love with him.

I think it started with idolization from Imlie's part, she admired his principles and his persona plus her conditioning had instilled in her, that husband means your ultimate love and eternal bond so when BS reciprocated, she thought that it would suffice for the lifetime but everything fell apart because in reality, there was no trust and the power dynamics had been too skewed from the beginning. Aditya had always been given a higher platform in respect to her, he and his family had always been "superior". Only after Imlie proved herself again and again, then she got their conditional acceptance that is "ghar ki beti".

Now Aryan, despite him being the CEO, him being shown as vastly rich and having a better social standing, they are still equals because Aryan has always treated her as such and just seen her as her own person and props to Imlie as well in this aspect, she never got intimidated by his status. So the partnership is real. There is angst because they have had their respective traumas and they came out stronger *Imlie is still work in progress but she did go through a lot before as well*. There is a place, beautifully depicted in the Shiddat dance where they connect, their demons melt even if there is no conscious recognition of that fact. They are more similar in core traits as well, doing anything for their family or people they consider close. By Hook or Crook seems to be their motto but Aditya was too barred by his morals in that scenario as well. Baaki attraction and passion pe toh I just might end up writing a book 😆
