I too think the same after seeing that arab promo that initially raghav was the murderer. In more clear terms not the exact murderer with intentions to kill but who killed mistakenly like the bollywood movie dil ka rishta where hero hit the parallel lead and he died on the spot.Something like this. And also in the promo pallavi meek nature suggest that Raghav and pallavi would have got immediately married due to society concerns and pressure. Like raghav would be blamed and he had to fulfill the husband duty of a young girl whose husband he snatched.

But I guess sikku developed cold feet at last moment and he deviated from his plans

Makers failed to give a proper character arc for each & every character

RAGHAV - his character was fine till smuggling track but esha track ruined everything

PALLAVI's role wasn't given much importance in any track so no point in discussing about her character graph

BABA - sudden redemption of baba gave more unrealistic feeling

AMRUTHA & MANSI - their sudden positive & negative transition

AAI - hiding Mandar's truth made her character pointless

SUNNY - the character I hated the most,he did all the bad things & got whitwashed in a single episode, atleast sikku could have shown things like how a married woman get rid of from toxic relationship but no kush was his favourite so he retained his character till the end & gave a clean chit

KEERTI - initially I adored Keerti-Pallavi's bond sm, later sikku ruined that relationship & her character

Only 2 characters who were constant throughout the show was Amma & Farhad ,rest all had poor character development

They changed the story in redemption track, I am sure about it…

Initially they show Raghav telling farhad that a girl was behind his father & brother’s death but in the redemption track they changed it to Krishna Rao…similarly Pallavi was shown to have fond memories of Mandar in the initial episodes…after marriage she even compares Rahgav to Mandar and tells him he can never match up to Mandar’s goodness…but in the redemption track she says she hardly knew Mandar and they just had few chats over video calls before marriage…but the biggest goof up was Raghav’s age, they clearly showed Raghav was 17yrs old when his Father died, Rahgav even mentions that it’s 10yrs since his father died, but in Esha track his father died after Esha’s betrayed…this is called lopsided story telling and then they have the audacity to blame the fans…

They should have maintained Rahgav as antihero for sometime after forced wedding…the rushed redemption track & confession ruined a lot….

Yeah I also think that initially (as shown in the unreleased promo) Raghav was the one who was involved in the accident & not Sunny|Kriti.

The plot was meant to be more intense and this angle gave raghvi a more intense “forbidden” kinda vibe. But I think it was just suppose to be the tip of the iceberg before the real truth to be out which is Mandy coming back. From the start, it was evident that he would (real or the fake).

I also use to think/still kinda think they altered the truth behind him becoming a don (from being cheated on by a girl as stated in initial episodes to being tricked by KR) BUT when u see his audition tape that he posted, u can see Raghav saying how KR and his financial instability being the reason.
So I think the chronology was : (0) a poor college student raghav living with his family ; (1) him being cheated on by the girl during his studies (2)followed by him being affiliated with KR for dad’s treatment/money & his family leaving him.

Remember Kriti said they use to all live happily and iconic was the “start” of the reason why they all fell apart. Later on, Iconic said to Jaya that she got to know about the deaths of his dad & brother from outsider (obviously her distributing sweets was most probably a lie to gain Jaya’s sympathy. Sorry I digressed). Meaning that they were still alive when she was present in their lives.

Unfortunately, what messed things up was the unnecessary flashbacks of raghu & iconic. They should have skipped it or hired the initial teenager actor playing it.

OR like u’ve stated , they retcon the whole plot 😂

Personally, when I was watching, I thought her claims that Mandar being a good man & comparing him to Raghav was meant to be a heavy foreshadowing of the total opposite. I thought it meant that her illusion of Mandar’s character being nice would break one day…as in what she thought was good was the devil and who she labelled as devil was actually her prince charming kinda scenario.
My pov😂

Bath simple hai yaar…viewers jis character ya Jodi kho pasand karthe hai unhe ruin math karo…consistency in the lead characters is very important to keep the viewers rooted to the show…

Similarly if they connect with the lead pair then maintaining the sanctity of the relationship is important, yes they can play around with their relationship with misunderstandings, third angles but things like divorce, multiple marriage, ONS, illegitimate baccha kills the relationship, it doesn’t sit well with the viewers if they are rooting for the lead couple…even in rishtha when he broke Moshin Shivanghi pair and brought Karan opposite Shivanghi, the viewers did not accept it…the show fetched the least Trps in that track..it did not work in kzk2, viewers didn’t accept Prerna with Bajaj…

That’s exactly what I feel they also wanted to show, with Raghav being responsible for Mandar’s accident, he would have been nothing less of a devil for Pallavi and with Mandar’s return and him turning negative and her conflicts…it would have been interesting to watch, but with redemption track they turned Ragahv positive and with Mandar’s return he became Devdas

Compare the Raghav of the first episode with one crying buckets with the daaroo ka bottle with Bekayali BG…😡
