In fact, misogyny must be respected as 'opinions' till the last breath we take. Freedom of speech, amIrite?)
Full disclosure : This is not a satire. In no way that galeech genre of literature, having hoodwinked people like Chaucer, Kalidasa, Thomas Paine, Austen, Parsai, is going to lure me. No, sir! This is not satire. Satire bad. Bad satire.
Fuller disclosure : This is not a personal attack on any of the various members of Indiaforums as attested by the lack of personal nouns or pronouns. Hamka stalk karke report na karee pleeej.
Isn't it absolutely wonderful when someone actually does outshine everyone else with a half-minute's worth of ss? What wonderful actors Durga and FK are ā¤ļø.
Okay, this show is definitely clever in the way it juxtaposes the abusive and manipulative with the positive and liberating. What vile people these Tripathis are! Dumping all their infeasible expectations on the barely-legal-ex-naukrani-cum-ex-bahu, so that they can have a psychological and emotional scapegoat later. They dump all their unpleasant emotions on Imlie and move on.
AC acted like a mother for the first time and took her daughter away from this bigamy-enabling hellhole.
My gosh, Imlie is an annoying robot and not only because she doesn't know how to prioritise in any given situation. No, not even because she supposedly cared more about Aditya than Aryan. She lacks the skills to analytically and holistically look at a situation unless it is hinted at by someoneā Aru.
This girl got married when she had no sense of herself or the worldā truly a frog in the well.
If people still ask why high-schoolers shouldn't get married, let alone forcibly married to 34 y/o men, they should actually see what Imlie has become.
In her transition from an adolescent to a young adult, Imlie has had no other worldview apart from her village and the manipulative Ts. When she breaks away from one, she gets pulled down by the other. When she should have been experiencing different worldviews, she was held hostage by these two equally abusive conditioning myths/fictionā she latched on to the latter fiction
Not being able to save Babusaheeeeeb dismantles all her sense of self. She's hysterically sad and lost. She would fight the forces of Hades, prioritise her jiju-prem over her maternal family, and bite Aru to protect her dashed sense of self. She's an a-grade idiot.
Sadly, Meethi is a very inefficient motherā she has never made her confront any bitter truths. Aryan is the only one to ever push her in the path of self-realisation. This gadhedi is going to slash my baby's heart repeatedly, and he's going to silently absorb all of that. He's going to absorb both their pain as he did today by hugging her, in spite of her biting his hand. Both Aru and Meethi got to that realisation together today.
Aru deserves so so so much better than this and they should show him compartmentalise Imlie and try to go put on a few dates with other people or something.
I know I bring this all the time but today Aru encapsulated Tumhe Mohabbat. On the other hand, what makes you think I would write such horrible scenes, M?
