I’ve been busy with some issues in my academic life. I planned to stay home in Saskatoon rather than moving back to a different province to attend classes. I requested to attend classes remotely and 2 of my 3 profs agreed. One will most probably not agree so I’ll drop the course as per my supervisor’s suggestion because I have a lot of time in my phd. It’s just a lot going on and me being conflicted between being safe and healthy at home vs being stuck at home and not having an office life again. But who wants to live alone in a different province without their family when the COVID cases are rising so much and everything around is mostly closed? I felt guilty and uncomfortable but I guess it’s worth it. Sorry for the rant! I’ll come out of my silent mode and start becoming active again once things settle down. Right now I absolutely hate how universities here are extending remote learning to 2 additional weeks every time. Arre online karna hai toh pura semester karo na… why leaving international students and students who don’t live in the same city in a hanging situation?
