Even though I didn't know the backstory, this is why I couldn't fully tag Malini as evil. Her current situation was moulded from her experiences..the injustice meted out to her. She was taken in for a ride by Aditya. He even went ahead and married her. Then fell in love with Imlie leaving her to dry. And her mum added ghee and kerosene to the fire. Not giving her a free pass. Just saying, it was avoidable to a large extent..if only he would have made up his mind..Oh, all is well that ends well.If not for him, our Aryan wouldn't have made it to the screen Speaking of which , I wonder if the makers always had it in mind to introduce a second hero..or was it cuz of GM's unavailability?
Earlier Malini was very accepting of this situation because who would want a guy who doesn't love you but someone else. And legally also, Malini wouldn't have been able to do a thing because Imlie was the first wife. So even if she went to the court, actions would have been taken against her and Aditya.
She had accepted Imlie as her younger sister even after coming to know that she's her half sister.
It's her mom how has poisoned her mind against Imlie. And her mother never liked Aditya for Malini but want she couldn't digest was Aditya leaving Malini for a 'maidservant' Imlie.
