Exactly!! But this is expecting a little much from the Imlie I’m getting to know.

A part of me wonders if she takes his gestures for granted to ensure that she keeps that wall around her heart built up though. Like if she truly starts appreciating what he has come to mean to her, what his little gestures mean to her, that she’ll be done. And she’s just not ready for that as C mentioned.

You see it in her eyes every time he’s there for her. During the DDLJ sequence, at the park when she found out he volunteers with orphans, when he was taking her out of the control room, at the end of the dance, etc. He surprises her and each time he burrows a little further into her heart. So to acknowledge that would mean to begin acknowledging that he’s making a place in her heart.

I don’t know if that made sense. I’m properly distracted from the work I’m supposed to be doing now. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I can see where the two of you and Imlie is coming from. But what I am looking for is the bare minimum in my eyes.

Yes, Imlie is too afraid to acknowledge that she has started to develop feelings for ASR. Her expressions said it all... she need to be eased to this new and powerful feeling unfurling inside her.

But the man is too facing the same thing... you don't see him yelling at her. A simple 'thank you' would suffice.

She may not intend to hurt him but the person she is treating like a punching bag is human. He feels too. I wouldn't give her a free pass for her actions but I do see reason... and empathise with her after a few episodes instead of only sympathising with her

The intent was not wrong... but the impact was heartbreaking to see 🥺. I really hope she makes up for her actions well.

Haven't watched the episode. But caught the gist here. Speaking of the 'bura' and 'insaan nahi' tags - those of you who have watched the show from the beginning...did Adi possess negative traits (I mean jealousy, arrogance, selfishness) from the start? Or was he portrayed as an angel who suddenly grew horns after Malini's interference? Never was interested in his character, but seeing that Imlie uses him as a yardstick for judgement, I am just curious.

I think maybe too she gets caught up in her own feelings so much that she doesn't realize the impact it has on him. He pretends to be a hard rock but he's not. She'll realize that her worlds have the power to hurt him. I give her a pass with it comes to BS-ing and all related mistakes, because I think she's feeling very self-conscious about Aryan's growing importance in her life.

I also think that Aryan's love language is just different than hers. It almost feels like a communication issue, if anything. He's a man of action. She's about the words right.

He expects her to understand the meaning of these things. A murti that silently appears. A lengha that's "fake". And each time the moment feels a bit heavy and weighted because she does understand and doesn't understand at the same time. I feel like most of her rapid fast insulting and screeching is meant to put some distance between herself and the way all of this is making her feel: Confused, very confused. And possibly undeserving as well.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 ♥️♥️♥️

Totally agree, and especially about the love languages. For someone like Imlie, because of the type of love she has known, understanding or even grasping other ways to express that love just isn’t in her emotional briefcase yet.

Maybe I love Aryan so much is cause we may have the same love language lol

Future couple goals indeed with the AC and the blanket 😂😂

@ bold: you are right, that makes sense. At first her small murti had a small space just like how she gave her life little space and she gave most of it to AKT and the T's. She did not consider herself as important as she considered AKT and always neglected her own hopes, dreams, ambitions and feelings for the T's and that useless BS.

But now she has received the opportunity to embrace her life and more, which is no longer small just like the large Sita Maiyaa murti. ❤️Also the new people in her life will make sure that she never gives up on herself.

Now just hoping that she will actually move on from the old life.

Yeah, totally. It's rough right, because both of them are too cute and I don't want either one of them to hurt.

At the bold: I really hope so too. And I think she will when she realizes how wrong she was. I think maybe the only thing that can distract her from her need to run from how she feels, is how Aryan is feeling. Being the giving person that she is at heart.

So I haven't watched the show from the start but I made it a point to learn the story once I joined (after ASR's entry)

And yes... Adi has always been arrogant, egoistic and selfish. He never, to be honest, treated Imlie well. He did not grow horns after Malini's interferences but these qualities of his got exacerbated through Malini's interferences but they were always there.

Kehete hai na... mushkil samey mein inssan ki sahi parakh hoti hai... that is Adi for you. His attempts to save his marriage were so half hearted that it was actually laughable. The kind of things he has done (previously and now) are disgusting.

This is exactly what I am talking about. Her rants are her defence. If she acknowledges even once that Aryan's gestures matter, she is done for. Kyunki then she will have to accept that Babusaheb has no place there anymore, that Aryan is close to her heart. It will go against every conditioning and belief system she has stood by till date. Her entire Pagdandiya-ness will be left in shambles. It will collapse. And that scares the hell out of her. She has to unlearn and lose everything she has till now if she accepts what she has for Aryan. And that's totally outside her comfort zone and a scary place to visit. So, she continues to hold on to Tripathis, to the residual memories. However, even her Babusaheb chants don't convince me anymore. That Imlie is slowly fading away and things are slipping out of Imlie's hands like sand, and she cannot turn away from this for too long.

Ohh 100%. I totally agree. The bare minimum she can do is just be a decent human and recognize that he too is human, after all she LITERALLY just told him that the night before.

Zero excuses for her behaviour and frankly I find it annoying. I’m just not as annoyed by it anymore. Maybe Libran has had such an effect on me lol But like I didn’t expect any more from her. The Imlie I thought I started watching this show for, I did, but the Imlie I’m beginning to see on my screen, not as much you know. So lower expectations (which I wish I didn’t have to have) means that I’m less annoyed when I see it play out.

Plus this week I don’t have the emotional and mental capacity to give her nonsense lol

I’ve also just resigned myself to the fact that my heart is just always going to hurt for Aryan. Bechara doesn’t deserve this. But I’ll continue hoping he gets the love and affection he deserves.
