Hello folks !!
Posting here after long time as I hardly get time to write but I really needed to get this out.
I love all the characters of this show A LOT including vikrant only coz I can relate these characters to people around me. They are believable as all of them have good qualities as well as flaws and thank God for that because I can definitely not watch a show where characters are either white ( sacrifice ki murti) or completely black ( trying to create mis- understanding or going extreme with plotting and killing). Such shows give me headache.
I really like the fact that how this show is so unpredictable and every character has a different perspective. But I feel we as audiences have not evolved and try to see all characters as white and black.
Well from what i believe the makers aren't trying to shove down goody good people down are throats by making others extremely worse. They are rather showing how every character has a different way of reacting and getting things done, each following a different set of ideals and with different mentality irrespective of the fact whether their actions are right or wrong.
For instance, Dr Ansari believed that he was right in letting the neele baba live his life without getting treatment coz baba wanted to live gloriously as blue baba even if meant early death but later his perspective changed and he wished he had treated him earlier. Neither of his perspective was completely wrong even though the latter will always outweigh the first coz nothing is more important than life and henceforth dr Ansari learnt a valuable lesson. Though this show is about doctors who are considered next to God for saving lives , I am glad they are shown as human as possible.
Let's take another example of Dr. Sia when a girl came who had lost weight by liposuction in order to get married and Sia felt that it was ok as it was her choice and noone else had the right to decide for her. I absolutely loved Sia then coz she was being real instead of shown giving some gyan for the sake of justifying her good character.
The characters here are all selfish, strong headed ,complicated and most importantly real. It is us who want to see the characters as typically ethical, doing what is right from our perspective ,if not we say their character is being assassinated by the makers . Sorry to say but that's not true.
Coming to the main topic ,Deepika is doing nothing wrong in helping Vikrant and protecting his career from getting destroyed. I would say this even if V and D had seperated due to infidelity or in any other worse scenario.
Vikrant is who he is . He belongs to that group of people who do want women to work but what he was asking from Deepika wasn't to put her down or anything , he wanted her to have a career in a field where she would be able to give some time to household which would have not been possible had she been a surgeon. When we marry we do keep demands and conditions so that we feel more compatible with our partners not to curb their dreams. And remember what Deepika said to him when she broke her engagement that it was not the fact that he doesn't wants her to be a surgeon but his adamant nature of not trying to even understand her passion for surgery ,she didn't want him to dismiss her dreams instead wanted him to give a chance where both could pursue their careers whilst balancing their personal life as well. And when vikrant didn't bend , Deepika made a choice to choose her career over the man whom she loved but had no understanding equation with.
10 years later, when both have moved on , and they come face to face we see both having feelings for each other, hearts still hurting with the separation. Vikrant is still madly in love with Deepika and seeing her has re-ignited his feelings for her that he had chosen to suppress. He had a wife and was trying to move on in life and felt a baby could maybe make their loveless marriage joyful.
He is clearly unhappy in his marriage but never thought of getting out , only thought that maybe their equation may improve one day .But love cannot be forced my friend. Vikrant did a blunder and destroyed his life as well as his partners and Deepika's love life completely. While Deepika is still single vikrant and Aditi are not soul mates too.
V and D -- Two hearts that have suffered agony and pain of heartbreak are beginning to heal in each other's presence. Vikrant feels giddy in D's presence and D despite being ethical and trying to keep V's behaviour in check is not able to completely behave indifferently .How can she when she has shared a beautiful past with this same man who has loved her cared for her . It was D's choice to call of the engagement not because she suddenly got over vikrant but because she felt in order for their relationship to work V needed to respect her feelings and not dismiss them and dictate his own.
How is Deepika wrong in helping Vikrant? I am absolutely baffled by some strong reactions here. What do you expect her to do? Destroy the man she once loved and will that make her feel any better? Go and complain his wife ? Will that change the husband wife's equation and make it better or create further problems? V who is not in a state to handle himself and is on a self destructive path imagine the extent to which his feelings for Deepika are rooted . He is savouring every moment of being near her. The way his face lits up when she smiles is a proof that he wants to be the one in her life to give happiness that D truly deserves. And D ,well the fact that she hasn't thrown away their memoirs proves that in 10 years she couldn't move over Vikrant. She still loves him but is careful to not cross boundaries because V is married .
Right now V is the only person who is showing concern about Deepika which not even her own parents did. Pouring his love and affection by doing small and simple gesture such as lunch and dinner, thanking her for her support and showing her gratitude for doing things against her wishes for V .
How can V not be drawn towards this girl and how can D stay aloof still ? How can two lonely souls not think about bonding together? Vikrant wasn't a characterless person . He and D had a fall out and V was so engrossed in proving D wrong that not only did he go after Deepika to sort things out he went ahead and chose to marry a girl he didn't know forget about loving her. When today vikrant wants to mend his ways and recover from his past why shouldn't he be allowed to do so.
Didn't Abhay do the same? He knew he didn't feel for Siya the way he felt for D yet went ahead with the engagement instead of telling Sia the truth. He infact thought he could change his feelings for D similar to what Vikrant did . How do we know Abhay is the right one for D ? Can't they have mis understanding and compatibility issues too ? Moreover love should be from both sides .Till D reciprocates and names the person she loves , Abhay doesn't have the right to judge her when he himself had feelings for other woman despite being in relationship with Sia. Also if vikrant wants D in his life he will have to tell his wife .But right now he cannot because D has shown no sign of reciprocating his feelings and by bringing his wife into the current scenario will mess up the situation and kill even the smallest chance he has with Deepika.
Well with what i understand , If V doesn't even try he will forever be stuck in a loveless marriage with his wife which is not good for his wife as well. For a relationship to work both people need to feel for each other , it cannot be one sided and I don't see vikrant being able to do that. And if in 10 years he cannot develop feelings for his partner what makes you think he can now? Deepika or no Deepika his is a failed marriage and no partner should continue like that . Vikrant who was confused can now see his goal and a new happy life with Deepika and it's not wrong for him to think about their happiness.
Rest to each their own. I am not shipping anyone.I am open to whatever D choses
