totally on point about adi occupying a lot of space in both their lives... aso the contrast that she (thinks) she loves adi and aru essentially hates him... both extreme emotions as well.

and like you said when aru will "act on his hate" and imlie will intervene... that will be a point of conflict as aru will think it to be her concern for adi while it will really be her concern for him (as by that time she'll hopefully be over the intoxication)

adi really is biggest arylie shipper, come to think of it... 😆

and yeah he looked irritated however the reason is debatable as he was worried for her safty few mins back (as she was missing and found her in pathetic condition)

Gathering my thoughts basis @Sundari's post, I get what she is saying because Aditya has turned into a serious addiction, and Imlie is experiencing withdrawal symptoms, which is why she is indulging in petty nonsense with Malini to get her dose of high. And Aryan has to always step in to shake her up unless Imlie is stable enough to handle herself and her past better.

I get it, strong logo ka bhi ek weakness hamesha reh jaata hai jo unke strength ko overwhelm kar deta hai. Aditya is just that for Imlie. When it will be Aryan's turn to deal with his trauma, Imlie will also shake him out of it in her own way.

Aditya, I feel will continue to be a trigger point for both Aryan and Imlie for separate reasons, till both Aryan and Imlie don't come on the same page for them to actually let go of this trigger and just accept him as a bad phase of their lives. For AryLie to happen, Imlie has to accept Aditya as he is and let go of him, in every way that binds her to him, even her own morality. Aryan has to move on from revenge because this man needs to grieve and close this chapter. They both need to realize that Aditya is a waste of space and time and just occupies the maximum of this equation, and they need to make a place for each other here emotionally.

Aditya is the basis for this equation to actually form in the first place, but the equation will thrive basis their own emotions and feelings. Dono ne hi apne jeevan me Aditya ko jyaada hi jagah de rakhi hai, that needs to be compartmentalized. Tab tak ye back and forth will continue with respect to their relation.

Btw, is it only I or did you guys also feel Aryan was genuinely irritated with Imlie because he was seeking her attention for himself, rather than his usual stance of apne upar focus karo, when she was on her Aditya tangent?

Yes and this was more prominent when he was trying to talk to her and the first thing she said after coming back to senses was 'Babu Saheb' . I t has started irritating Aryan just how it irritates us here finally! 😆

One thing that kept hitting me again and again in this seemingly-filler episode was how long it took Aryan to find imlie... While watching i thought they're un-necessarily stretching it... But i went over it again again in my head.... And bro heavy symbolism and fore-shadowing!!

So lets start this ride...

Finding Imlie - the current/future plot.

The scene

Imlie is intoxicated and lost b/w heavy bags of grains in the makeshift kitchen

She's nowhere seen in the party and no one absolutely no one is bothered except this guy who just met her a month or so ago.

He thinks I don't care let her do whatever the hell she wants

Then remembered his own resolution and finally goes to find her

He looks around - fails to find - give up

Finds mobile - Looks around again - fails again - give up

Hears faint voice - Looks around again - fails again - give up

Hears her voice again - Looks around again - finds her.

He's worried about her state as well as reputation - takes care of her while trying to control his own unknown feelings creeping in.

She regains conscience and is shocked to find him to be the one comforting her all along.

Symbolisms:

#1 intoxication = her love for BS (or Stockholm syndrome as I call it)

#2 lying under bags of grains = weight of her past + how it hides the real imlie

#3 makeshift kitchen = her ex-"naukrani" status.

#4 Song = Aryan has progressed to "tum meri zarurat ho" stage of relationship

Conclusions:

This whole scene which i thought was heavily dragged actually gives a lot of insight/explanation on what's been building up last 50 episodes or so... Plus also foreshadows the upcoming 100 episodes or so... (Might be longer- it'll be a treat to watch)

#1 explains imlie's BS jaap i.e. her intoxication - I'm sad to say it's here to stay for some more time and we have to bear with it.

#2 the time and attempts taken by Aryan to find her say that the guy is stubborn and persistent af and wouldn't give up if there's even slightest hope (her calling in very low voice and him still hearing indicates this)

#3 when he finds her his concern/protectiveness takes over and he forgot that he was irritated at her a moment ago. His control during the comforting part is also indicative of keeping his own expectations in backburner for her comfort as the relationship progresses.

#4 imlie seeking comfort in him which means she will subconsciously/unconsciously allow him to take over and help her heal.

#5 many of you pointed out how she came out of intoxication so fast and doubted the drink.... For me that's indicative of the fact that she will eventually come out of her past relationship - wake up in true sense.

#6 he says "padi hui ho" while imlie says "rakhe hue hai" indicative of how she does not think she's in a pathetic state while he can clearly see this (and we can see as well)

#7 when she wakes up she's shocked to find that seeks comfort in him - obviously as she'd known him for very less time and still able to trust him. I think the shock is out of realisation of that trust. Also indicative of her resistance to accept this relationship initially after acknowledgement.

#8 in essence they've created this whole plot around how we are set in course to find the old imlie again that PD wali imlie and in this journey Aryan will be her partner who will keep seeking her everytime she's lost in the burden of experiences in her past year.

Hopefully they'll show her educational, career growth along with finding new love.

PS : tagging few people who are inactive/less active in DT and i think will appreciate the art of storytelling.

I can see that. Yesterday he accused her of carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders and today he took them off in the kitchen and patiently took her out of her intoxication. He offered her the dawah and then took her dancing. Very romantic.

So I thought ki I will gather my thoughts later because I have so much to say about this episode. Par koi na.

Like we were discussing yesterday, the literal intoxicant ( and not the metaphorical codependency she has on Aditya) brought out her dormant feelings for Aryan. It brought out her attraction for Aru, her need/desire for him to care for her. She held his hand and asked him to pet her. I have gotten drunk a few times and have never asked any random person to physically take care of me. I have asked people to feed me because I expected them to care for me. She's also someone who's struggling with the whole-saat-janmon-ke-saiyan-bane-bhaiya thing. Aditya takes too much of space in her head and her conscious mind justifies it in the name of pyaar like Meera and maa ki chinta or whatever. So this was probably the first time her subconscious actively, dominantly took over her mind. When the literal stupor broke, she got shocked out of her wits and used her BS Jaap as a shield.

Aru definitely wants all her attention for himself. I think they time-lapsed it because Aru held her in his arms for a while.

Honestly, I found his irritation stemming from his feelings, rather than just his concern for her. It's like they are having a moment here, and madam goes on a tangent is a buzz kill. Romance me adanga dalne wali jungli hai Imlie.😆

tht she is... Pati Parmeshwar ko bhi kaha romance karne di?

i might have to re-watch for that.... waise imlie gives a lot of resons to be irritated by her to an avg person, while aru already has short patience so it could be a sum total 😆
