Imlie won't make it easy for Aryan for a lot of things - her conditioning, her closure, her reluctance to accept her feelings, her insecurity as a person who doesn't deserve someone like Aryan. Aryan has to traverse a lot of blockages and reach out to Imlie.

The difference between her subconscious and conscious is so vast. It'll likely at times give rise to his own insecurities. The biggest hurdle will be her feelings for Aditya but I feel like once Aryan realizes that for Imlie the two of them are separate and distinct he won't care as much anymore about any lingering attachment Imlie has to Aditya.

You now, I was struck by Imlie's giggling reaction to Narmada's resolution of 'find Aru a wife'. She was all like "ha ha" to Aryan. It just goes to show how very very far off she is from understanding her own growing feelings and accepting someone, let alone someone like Aryan.

The last one might be just as challenging as her beliefs. Aryan as a partner will come with his own challenges, not the least of which will be his "world". She's a firecracker, but she's still also just a small town girl with very simple wants and needs. Most of the heavy lifting in terms of adjustment to lifestyle will likely be hers. There's only so many white lies Aryan can tell to protect her, like the cost of a lengha. So even when she does start to contemplate a relationship with him, I feel like that will be another opportunity for her to run and hide. He will have to take the lead to assure her every time.

I agree with that. I guess certain feelings will trigger from Imlie's side as well for Aryan to get a clue, and Imlie remaining clueless. Aryan will then have to step up to guide her through this.

I still don't see a forced marriage happening. But these people also cannot pull off organic for too long. So who knows. And if a marriage is the only thing that can curb her Aditya rants, then so be it. Kya hi kar sakte hai

But it would be great to see a journey from friends to GF/BF, engagement, to marriage. That has more scope of a long long story ahead. Similar to her initial and my most fav show.😆

I don't even think Aryan realized that he was shoving Imlie. He was desperate to reach his sister and anyone stopping him was an obstacle in his path.

What stood out for me was the astonishingly strong parallels between Arpita getting trapped in fire and Arvind getting trapped in the burning car. Here he was being restrained by Imlie and in his BIL's case it was the police which stopped him in a very similar manner. For Aryan, it seemed like history repeating itself.
