Bollywood has been way more cringe in the past few years, no wonder the South is starting to dominate. Movies like Pushpa are actually fun while Bollywood makes lame ass biopics and bad masala

There is actually a dearth of good writers (story, script, dialogue and everything) in Bollywood and of late it is getting reflected in the kinds of movies that is being churned out and/or are in pipeline or getting announced.

Every second, ne scratch it, everyday there is an announcement of a South remake.. First Vikram Vedha, then the one with Ishaan and Ananya and now this..

Bollywood needs to invest on legit writers and good writing if it wishes to survive in the long run. The degree of reliance on Southern remakes point towards glaring lack of refreshing and original concepts in Bollywood currently. This would spell Bollywood's downfall much severe than what pandemic might wreck.
