That show did a good enough job of specifically showcasing female desire (and in general, desire/lust as a normal, healthy thing that coexists with love). Given that character (Khushi) and audience are conservative, it depicts it in a roundabout way than we usually see male desire (gazes, touches, etc). With her we had dhak-dhak / acidity / Rabba-vesâŚ
Imlie experienced a brief period of attraction with Aditya (what she calls emotion sickness and has equated it to love? (She seems to be reevaluating now)) but that has died down much priorâŚ.and to the point that she definitely loved her husband / marriage relationship but was NOT actively âin loveâ with the man concerned.
I hope whatever awareness she now feels with Aryan doesnât spook her or guilt trip her (especially coz her ex believes sheâs having an affair with Aru and she knows the thin ice she treads on with Ts n Cs). There are somethings that only women or queer people internalise that cishet men don't even register. They are not even a part of their universe. Why something as sexually charged as gazing, but even how we are supposed to sit in a ladylike manner yada yada yada.
