Sonu , Shaan , KK during 2006-2009 , Sonu had more dominance

Sonu still had more hits than shaan and KK during 2006-2009 times , i dont remember any major kk songs besides these few 2 songs Jannat and kya mujye pyar hai and beete lamhe, and khuda jane main fida and tu he mere shab hai , and shaan for hey shona , jabse tere naina , you are my love and don title song,,,,while sonu nigam had Salam e isqh 2 songs both were equally popular the title song and Tenu leke main jawanga which is popular even now for weddings , Garam masala's falak dekhoon , ada both were super hits , Kabhi alvda na kehna , Krish songs , Dil vich lagya ve from chup chup ke , Janeman entire album , from partner duppata tera, Maria maria and sonhi de nakhre and you are my love were rage while sonhi de nakhe , "although according to youtube analysis Maria Maria have the the third most views after Duppata tera, soniye de nakhe and you are my love .. ,,,Do you wanna partner wasnt that big of a song" ,,and the biggest song from the album partner probably is Duppata tera nau rang da by sonu nigam and kunal kanjawala,... 2 hits for Sonu in partner ,,Sonu's Chiggy Wiggy overshadowed any club song back in days and was immensely popular during that time , then had some memorable songs in parinta , jodha akbar also had some good songs 3 idoits, kurbaan, Aja nachle and lage raho muna bahi too specially pal pal pal har pal, and what not till 2009 ,

it's not about non conventional voice like himesh he had his share of sucess during that period as he was music director himself but out of these 3 names sonu had more dominance over all his dominance may not be the same like of early 2000 where he was singing 4-5 songs in different albums like kabhi khushi kabhi ghum, tum bin or Dulhan hum lee jayenge etc etc etc but still ratio of sonu nigam memorable songs during 2006-2009 are greater in number than of shaan and KK or even neeraj sheedar at that point,

The plus point is Sonu never was depended on one composer only that's why perhaps he got majority of different songs from different composer rather from every one, had he struck to a particular composer he may never got chances to improvise a certain way like nadeem sharavan etc... , Sonu had got the best of anu malik, sajid wajid, saleem suleman, rehman, himesh,. KK is GOAT undoubtedly but Sonu is Ultra GOAT he is the only one who had the typical 90's songs to his credit and then also high pitch songs to qawali's, ghazals , pop any genre , KK undoubtly my second best but although he had certain limitations as his voice was not classically nurtured but his plus point was his range he can go effortlessly high, kk falls in the category of wesrenized singing, and for range he can be better than sonu too but sonu can reach reasonable high pitch, he have sung couple of high pitch songs,

although i agree that kk never got his due his voice is modern day friendly voice but was not used much

Besides classical thing KK was the only versatile kishore kumar follower he actually can switch to different moods of the song

The fact remains that while Sonu was a success, newer singers did take over a lot of songs he could have sung and there was no monopoly, unlike the 90s where Udit, Sanu, Alka and Anuradha dominated.

Truth remains that KK had more number of hits post 2005 which are still enjoyed today and Shaan gave some massive hits with YRF urban films.

Himesh has been a major selling point for all his songs, it never matter who it was picturised on or who sang it, as long as HR's name was on it, it was already a hit. That man is a brand in himself.

Its not about Sonu's dependency on other composers. It is who those composers preferred for their songs. Just like Nadeem-Shravan preferred Kumar Sanu and Anuradha in the 90s, everyone had their own choice of singers based on their songs. Sonu did not have that music director-singer combo with anyone, but that does not take away from his success.

You wanna do YouTube analysis of an era where there was no YouTube "dominance"? Sure that'll work perfectly.

And dude, saying things like "had he stuck to a particular composer..." is just plain wrong. You're insulting both the composers and the other singers of that era.

The composers chose their singers, not the other way around. A singer does not make the offer of singing a song, he/she accepts or rejects when they are offered a number. Music directors hold the utmost importance, so don't make it sound like your favourite is superior in the pyramid of songwriting-singing.

And btw, no singer stuck to a composer back in the day, if Pritam chose KK or Mohit Chauhan for his songs and they accepted, there is no sticking. It was a magical pairing and this remains a fact.
