Background: Tejo was travelling to a conference in Delhi. There was an accident and lost her memory of last two years. She does not remember the roller coaster of events she has gone through.
Present day:
Tejo has returned home from hospital. Her mother and father have not left her bedside. Her brothers are trying hard to hide their tears from her and bullying the nurse to take better care for her. Tejo, always the one caring for everyone, feeling restless from lying in bed and getting pampered for the last three days. She feels like there is something missing, what she is not sure. Is this absence of Jassu, her baby sister?
She had asked about why Jasmine is not there. Her father said she had gone to her mami's house as her Mami is not well. Tejo is missing her childish banters. She is the one who will let her move around because she knows how Tejo becomes restless with nothing to do. Her sister and her bond is different from other bonds. The relationship is infused with the strength of their love, shared secrets, and beautiful memories.
She tried her number to talk to her.
In the darkened hotel room. The cell phone started ringing. Jasmine looked at the caller ID and cut the call. It rang for the second time. Annoyed she received the call.
"Kya hai?"
"Jassu. Tu jaldi aaja yaar. Main bohot bore ho rahi hoon yahan. Tin din se bed rest pe hi hoon."
Jasmine was perplexed. Why is Tejo talking like this. She had broken all relationship with her last time they talked.
Tejo was waiting for her sister's reply when her mother came to the room with her dinner.
"Kisse baat kar rahi hai?"
"Jassi se"
Shocked her mother told her to let her talk to her. Afraid Jasmine will say something and worsn Tejo's health.
"Le mummy se baat kar"
She left the room on ther pretext of bringing some water.
"Jasmine tune Tejo ko kya bataya?"
"Kya bataun me Tejo ko? Usne mujhe call kyun kia? Aap ki to abhi ek hi beti hai na" Jasmine scoffed at her mother. All the anger and insecurity with in her lacing her voice.
"Tejo ku memory chali gayi hai. Use yaad nahi teri harkatein. Woh sochti hai tu uski pyaari choti behen hai. Tu please usse dur reh. Hum uske bhale ke liye usse abhi sach se dur rakh rahe hain". She cut her call.
For a moment, jasmine does not know how to feel. Should she be happy that Tejo is suffering? Or should she be sad? After breaking all relationships, nobody called her. She has noone who thinks fondly of her. From childhood to she became an adult, Tejo was her best friend cum sister, hiding her every fault and fulfilling all her wishes. Even when everyone will compare her with Tejo, Tejo would always respect her thoughts and will listen to her. Can she get that back with this? Does she want it?
Without thinking any more she packed her begs and leaves the hotel room.
