If Aditya really loved her, that whole thing should have affected him too. CVs really messed up that edit or Gash wasn't playing it in a nuanced enough way. If it was intentional acting, then Aditya clearly doesn't love Imlie enough.

he dint even looked at her for few intial momemnts as if protesting.. i am not gonna talk to you cause you never understand what i am trying to explain you.

Abt Aditya.. it was intentional.. very much. i dint explain it then as no one questioned abt it but as you mentioned ill share why i thought so.
2 close ups.. contrasted by the way they both eatig/drinking.. classic way of showing Juxtaposition in their stance in that moment and life alike.
Imlie drinking water so peacefully (with eyes closed) that's given to her by Aryan..
symbolism he brings the best out of her... he shares his calmness with her after all the havoc (chillies) caused by T family. And she has accepted and already feeling better with him (calmness shared by him)
Adi eating that biryani with hands and not even spoon thats given to him by Malini..
symbolism Malinis brings out the worst in him.. She has turned him into not so human (read animal as they only worried abt hunger and thinks only abt food no offence to anyone its how i saw that particular moment) who is least bothered abt anyone else pain or suffering...
That was one tiny yet deep scene to reflect the change people beside Imlie and Adi brings out the best and worst in them respectively.
