3. Instead of Vaccines, Prophylaxis for all.

4. Early Intervention/treatment to those who get infected. Medicine taken at time gives good fighting chance.

Bold - Do you mean the shutdown?

First I would like to thank all the healthcare workers. You guys have saved lives by putting your own at risk. You've worked long and hard during these uncertain times. You guys are heroes.

All that said, I don't believe another lockdown is the answer. Economies have already crashed, small businesses closed, people without jobs or shelter and just as importantly the mental heath which is just as big a pandemic as Covid, now. We can't and shouldn't close down countries everytime a new variant emerges.

What Covid has exposed is our healthcare system which hasn't evolved in decades. We need to do everything to make it stronger because these waves will be normal. I'm shocked Australia doesn't have a separate ward for Covid patients...thats extremely dangerous.

Wish 2022 brings us all some normalcy along with great health, physical and mental.

Bold -Not to mention millions who could not get treatment or detection of other illnesses including cancer

Blue - Many seem to think that would work despite evidence to the contrary

States and countries with non stop quarantine, mask mandate, vaccine passport, strict protocols seem to have the most cases... Atleast no less than others with more relaxed policies

This is the direct consequence of unchecked spread of covid.

Health care resources whether it be people, stuff or space are finite. If more resources are pulled into managing covid related issues - whether it be taking care of patients, testing or vaccination, this will mean staff being pulled away from other areas of preventative medicine. Also with more community spread of covid we have more staff shortages.

No one is asking for lockdowns , all we ask for is sensible opening policies whether it be easily available testing facilities or pop up clinics to mange the not so unwell covid patients.

There are no easy answers and at the end of the day I think people will decide what is important for them - unrestricted opening will come with compromised medical care.

Just a suggestion.. don't reuse your mask on daily basis! You may not got covid but might get other infections. There were reports about unhygienic masks leading to fungal infections like mucormycosis.

thanks, i do wash my face many times on daily basis due to prayers etc, it keep my face and skin clean with no pimples as well.. Also the masks are too huge for my face, so i just lazy to find one that can fit

CDC recommends at least a daily wash of reusable masks.

Basically we spit out saliva when we speak, which accumulates on the masks. Hence the need to frequently wash.

Their directions are nicely laid out and I'd highly recommend:
