Anuj, Vanraj..who?? Anupamaa is the real HERO of the show🙌

We always praise the cast for their spectacular performances but this gem of an episode belonged to the writers. Take a bow👏👏This episode will hit close to home for many viewers! Everything and I mean every single thing- the writing, performances and screeplay are sheer brilliance! Its like the creatives have made up for last week's sloppiness.

Episode begins with Anu and Mukku playing hopscotch and Anuj standing as a spectator having a cute banter with them. His temptation to join them showed that all 3 of them are just innocent kids trapped in an adult body. Anu wins and requests Mukku to reconsider her decision and celebrate NYE. As she stands there in a dilemma, Anu narrates the most dreaded moment we all witnessed on her 25th wedding anniversary night😨😨😖😣😞 The images of Anu opening her bedroom door to find Vanraj and K on her bed made me choke again. God that scene never ceases to tear you up!! Anuj's shocked expression makes me assume he dint know the exact incident. Mukku and Anuj are in tears joining Anu in sharing her pain😪

Anu is a perfect example of ' life is not what happens to you but how you react and make of it'.. she is the true HERO of the show and will always be! She beautifully embraces Mukku and gives her the space to grieve. In that one moment when she cups Mukku's face, you can see M melts and looks at Anu with a longing to be loved and protected and its as if her soul knew Anu is her Messaih!!😭💞💓💫🧚‍♂️

Samar made valid points countering K's accusations. How did Nandini flip so soon? Yesterday she dint care about her maasi and today she literally blames Anu for letting M stay at shah house. Except Samar and bapuji I feel the rest of them are tainted with ungratefulness! It was the same Anu who stood up for Nandu during her engagement too. Samar does a good job when he reminds them of the favors and sacrifices Anuj and Anu have made for that family. I foresee a lot of issues cropping between the couple😵🤐🤐💔

The rest of members are gearing up for celebrations and they keep speculating whether Kapadias will make it or not although they are pretty sure Anu will definitely grace the occassion but we know her priotities have changed and now she truly is a Kapadia! Am not sure whether this will again create rift between the kids and Anu. Was it foreshadowing? Not sure! With that am wrapping up shah parivaar scenes right her!🙏

Mukku surprises MaAn by showing the courage to make a new start and she shows a lot of strength with Anu standing by her. We can see the admiration in her eyes for Anu. She looks upto her like a mother and this is one bond on the show am 100% shipping!💯💜💜🙌 . Anuj is so elated and proud of Anu. He gives her a daisy expressing his grattitude and love. A parallel to the scene when Anu tried to give these flowers but couldnt! A picture perfect moment💟💘💝

The trio step out and we are shown a man trying to hit his wife. There is a small commotion and someone manages to drag him away. Anu is disgusted and a very significant fact is shared that domestic violence has nothing to do with social or economic status!! 😡🤬😠. Meanwhile, we find Mukku curled up in fear and shock! 😭😦

Precap- anu is shocked to learn about Mukku's depression and her abusive marraige. Anuj is supposedly responsible for choosing the wrong partner and he once again breaks down knowing he is responsible for her state. Makers are exploring an extremely senstitive and 'brushed under the carpet' issue in our country. Having been a survivor of depression and a witness to domestic violence myself, I hope makers can understand the magnitude of what they have taken on themselves!

Also one question: Was it really necessary to pin this blunder on Anuj too? He is already carrying enough guilt for this life time. Why put Anuj in a bad light? I felt this was unnecessary🤔

Verdict- an emotional rollecoaster and a must watch!! Aneri aced her scenes and I speak for tomorrow too. She is a fantastic addition to the cast. I felt proud of Anu today coz she spoke about that incident without letting it break her again. Her healing and sheer strength was amazing to watch. I also feel Mukku now might change her equation with V. She might draw a boundary with that man going forward.

To heal an untreated wound, it has to opened and suffer the excruciating pain that moment so that the wound remains just scar once treated. Today Anu, Anuj and Mukku all have their wounds open and they will heal themselves as well as treat others with their love and togetherness.

So before opening the wounds, let’s have some painkillers with MaAn scenes so that we can sit through it.

The episode opens with Anu n Mukku playing hopscotch in parking lot. Anuj too wishes to join and can’t as business tycoon playing hopscotch will be headlines next day🤣🤣… No wonder he felt tired of the empire and want to lead a simple life so that he can enjoy these small happinesses. The hopscotch scenes are fun and lighthearted 🥰🥰🥰.

As Anu wins the hopscotch, she asks Mukku to attend new year party. Anu opens up on her own bitter experience of seeing V n K together on her 25th anniversary. That moment still pricks her heart and tears start rolling on their own. It even pierced Anuj’s heart while listening about her pain😭😭😭😭😭. Anu urges Mukku to look beyond the bitter experience and start fresh again.

First of all, I salute her for the courage to open up on her wounds. That needs a hell of bravery 👏👏👏👏👏 The incident and experiences has made her stronger than ever 🤗🤗🤗. Anu opening up her wound was much needed for her and as well as Anuj. Anuj had to know the extent of her hurt so that he can heal her with the tender love, affection and respect. It’s a very deep wound on her soul and though she says she has moved on, it isn’t fully healed otherwise tears would not have rolled out like this.

Back at Kapadia house, Mukku surprise MaAn that she is ready to give a chance. Anuj couldn’t be happier and thankful any more to his Anu. The flower moment is soo sweet and Mukku’s teasing them is also cute😍😍😍😍. Am so bad in describing these cute scenes yaar… chalo apne aap dekh ke maze lo🥰🥰😍😍😘😘

This is definitely going to create a friction and Anu might be in a tight spot to maintain balance between all the expectation from her.

MaAn and Mukku step out of the house only to find a man trying to abuse his wife.

Precap - Mukku is in depression and the cause is domestic violence that she had to face. Anuj seems to have gotten her married and her husband was a devil who tormented her. Anuj feels guilty about making wrong choice for his sister. Had his parents been there, then they might have felt the same especially when it’s a arranged marriage.

As I mentioned, now all the wounds are open. Anuj’s and Mukku’s wound are also open and raw infront of Anu… and the healing ❤️‍🩹 journey begins towards a brighter tomm.

Gaurav, Rupali and Aneri are all power houses when it comes to performing emotionally. The breakdown, fear that Mukku has is been excellently performed by Aneri. She was awesome in precap and waiting for the full fledged one tomm with loads of tissues in my hand.

About anuj priyanka I have different opinion yr

Yr ye baat to sach h real mein bhi parents ladka pasand karke usse shadi karwate h but agar wo ladka sahi na nikle to uske liye khud ko dosh dete rehte h

But I think this is wrong yr apni taraf se to wo accha hi sochte h ladka hi galat nikle to kisi ki bhi galti nahi na isme

No dear I dont mind at all and my intention of making that point was, the person who was shown to us a perfect guy in every which way is suddenly responsible for all the crap in his and Mukku's lives... I wasnt talking just about the life partner angle..last 2 weeks whatever has gone wrong has all been Anuj...I mean give that guy a break. Itna bhi guilt trip mein mat bhejo yaar! And one person shown responsible for every shit that went down is little unrealistic too. I was only expressing from a show perspective.🙂

I know makers are showing physical abuse victim's pain yr and it was really heart wrenching to see mukku in the precap

But I really don't like jab verbal abuse ko makers koi importance nahi dete I mean anu is also a victim of verbal abuse kyu sirf EMA ko hi yaad rakhte h this is number 1 show they can give a good message to society then why not yr

I know the pain of verbal abuse kis kadar todta h ye sab aapko ki aap har cheej se darne lagte ho aapke self confidence ki dhazziya ud jati h aapka career khatam social life khatam

I know right now it's more important to show mukku's pain but I will be more than happy agar makers verbal abuse ko bhi galat dikhana start kare

I second. Your thoughts.. why they keeping on guilt tripping Anuj 💔 Banda perfect nahi hai teek hai ab had hogay yaar.. V ko hero banaane ki chakkar mein Anuj ko weak banane ke soch rahi hai kya🤔

Sunny - First of all, Anuj has guilt of orphaning Mukku. So he won’t not want to cause anymore pain to her.
But Anuj had made Akshay away from Mukku’s life. Though with best interest and intension in his mind, it hurt Mukku.

Then again, he made a wrong decision while choosing a husband for Mukku.

Even under normal circumstances, if it’s a arranged marriage and when such situations happens, parents blame themselves for their lack of judgement. Though it isn’t their fault and no one can predict what runs in another person’s mind at all. Still people take it upon themselves when they see their loved one has been hurt because they failed to protect them.

Here for Anuj, things are more in amplified manner. That’s all and hence his guilt.

This production house does a good job of bringing social issues to light. I really hope the abuse, depression, PTSD is dealt pragmatically.

Reg. Anuj's guilt - If something goes seriously wrong, it is human nature to look back and see what was the root cause, and tend to think "what if" I had not done/said this.... Every person is different, & we may carry some sort of guilt or other, esp when one shoulders responsiblity of another individual.
