Okay so Imlie is going to run after Aditya to help because of the "wrath" when Sita Maiya doesn't answer her prayers and sticks the PD folk after him. This all feels very anti-climactic. Shouldn't this have all happened before the wedding?

Let's wait and see I guess.

On the idea of another forced marriage:

- Imlie's actions make it clear she is not removing Aditya from her heart anytime soon. Any distance that has come between them has come from him. Even the separation was her attempt at regaining footing in his life, not to remove him from her life.

- Aditya will have to be the one to "leave" because Imlie can not find it in herself to stay away. Something has to happen to trigger Aditya, and that something will have to indirectly come from Imlie.

- The reason I was convinced Aryan and Imlie wouldn't marry in Aditya and Malini's mandap is because I only saw the two of them individually marrying by choice and for love. But they've grown much closer during the wedding track. Aryan is nearing 10% interest now 😆 as of most recent calculation by some real intelligent folk here ❤️. I could see him impulsively filling her maang if goaded into it by Aditya and PD folk. Because he does care, more than he is willing to admit to himself.

- The main issue with a forced marriage or an impulsive maang-filling scene is it's inconsistent with Imlie and Aryan's lovestory style: screw-what-the-world-thinks-lets-just-progress-naturally.

- So if it does happen it has to unfold very differently, providing Imlie with an opportunity to correct past mistakes by reacting differently this time and rejecting the husband/wife dogma. The biggest difference would be having the "right" dulha this time. One who (1) does care (2) would go to great lengths to keep her safe and (3) continues to be there not because of obligation but because of love.

- Aryan wouldn't feel the need to fulfill any obligation to a wife that was forced on him. If we keep consistent with his character, what Aryan does for Imlie he does willingly. If he's "forced" into marriage, it would forced in name only I think, with us the viewer understanding how much he cares, even if he doesn't understand himself. And following that he would do what he does for her now: care, protect and encourage. But with his-and-hers boundaries in place, that may slowly fall away with time.

Basically I don't actually see their relationship changing drastically if a forced marriage does happen because that's the only way I see such a marriage happening.

Also just a thought, Malini taunting Imlie last episode about being married at "gunpoint" was eye-brow raising. They wanted us to remember that bit as we head to PD.

I’m wondering if PD people will turn on Adi after finding out what’s been happening in “the city.” How AdiLie were manipulated and torn apart with Adi eventually marrying another “city” person. He proved their bias correct.

More so, I wonder if PD will blame Adi for this new aatankwadi bc he (well Malini, but him by extension) put Satyakam behind bars. Due to this action, the domino effect is that their lives and peace are now at risk. PD is again maligned as a dangerous place

I think they will. I wonder how he is going to justify. Either he truly has a death wish and is walking into the lion's cave or he is just plain stupid.

I am also curious to see if the PDites will learn of the accusations of EMA that Adi has hurled at Imlie. How will they react to that? Will they try to marry her off again but Imlie and Aryan being stronger might not allow them to do it this time.

I’ve been thinking about this. I really don’t want to see a forced marriage for Imlie, (I mean I’m against the premise altogether). But if it does happen it’ll have to be different from and in contrast to what happened the last time.

Same bind, different man, how are they now going to have Imlie learn from what happened last year and the things that have happened since to achieve a different outcome? How is Aryan going to support her?

Like you said, Imlie is only moving on because Aditya keeps pushing her away but she’s not doing a great job of it. Part of me wonders if Imlie will ever allow herself to move on or feel anything for another person if she isn’t put into a situation where she has to marry, even if it without the absence of love, again. Aryan is so different from Adi, his whole family is different, this marriage would be totally different. But it would put Imlie in a place where she has to move on.

In the real world this would happen organically with time and space, in ITV land whenever they want to push a love story along - marriage! Because they don’t have the time and space to let this grow on its own.

So yeah, I wasn’t convinced of a marriage between Arylie during the Adini wedding track, but here I’m not so sure. The question is, how will it come about?
