It doesn't matter if you never wore a helmet in your life or wore it every time you rode or you coincidently wore it the one time you had the accident. What matters is when you actually met with an accident if the helmet is on your head it will protect it.

Same with the covid protocol.

It doesn't matter for how long and how properly you follow the rules till you actually come in contact with the person carrying covid. If you have followed the protocol at that specific time you will be safe.

And just like in road accidents, the more the people follow rules the less is the number of accidents.

yes but their precautions are not working, is like they are wearing helmet and still got the head injured.. And then what they do, please wear 4 helmets on your head, not ok, wear 6 helmets, actually I will not let you ride the bike, please walk to another country by foot ok? Great

Not only omicron but the whole Covid thing has affected my life. Infact of everyone's in some way or other.

Being a doctor, it's very hectic for me these 2 years. Both physically and emotionally. Especially last year. Seeing so many people struggling with life, people dying everyday and we being the doctors, complete helpless. People bawling over hospital bed, Oxygen supply etc add to the woes.

But I will thank my team for the support they extended to me during that time. Me being the youngest on in the team and having a little kid at home added to that advantage. Though I wasn't able to go home for days, but whenever I want to get off, my seniors helped me to get off days at a stretch. That helped me to maintain my sanity.

Though omicron is less severe than delta, still I will appeal people not to take this lightly. Follow all the covid protocols proplely, then only you can protect yourself and your dear ones.

Hats off to you man ! We here have been lucky so far( though its changing now) as we have not seen even a fraction of the horrors that health-care workers in the rest of the world have seen. It is the most rotten feeling to see people suffering and not be able to help them because of lack of resources. And yeah to the physical and emotional exhaustion that all of us feel.

I’m in Perth and all the newspapers can talk about is covid. Western Australia is the most isolated place upon earth at the moment, completely closed off to the other Australian states and international borders are closed. We think McGowan won’t open up the borders in February. As it is, WA health system is in shambles without covid. Patients have to wait for hrs and ambulance ramping hrs are the highest it’s ever been.

I’m so over this covid. All we heard was get vaccinated and we will be back to normal. We are now worst off than we were previously. During this pandemic, none of the health ministers or medical officers have promoted healthy lifestyle. No Premiers have promoted the importance of early treatment. All the governments are like a broken record with getting the vaccine but nothing on healthy lifestyle and natural immunity.

Thank you for your wishes for my family and I and I wish the same for you and your loved ones❤️

Take care..wish u good health..

I heard people were not happy when govt imposed strict lockdown measures at low case counts, mask mandates etc during the earlier waves..there were rallies opposing restrictions, vaccines etc.

My friend said it would take hardly a month to vaccinate entire population there once it started..so I assume all willing would be vaccinated..though this new variant doesn't seem to have much regard for the vaccine

What happened this time around? The Premier hasn't changed I suppose

I am in the fitness industry. I was on my holiday break the past 2 weeks but I spent half that time on the phone because about half of my staff members either called in sick / were awaiting results / were in close contact with a positive case. It got so bad that I actually had to go into work on my holiday because 3 of 4 scheduled associates called in and others couldn't cover. You can imagine how annoyed I was. I was supposed to be disconnected during my break! It's hard for people to get tests done and there seems to be a backlog because it's been over 6 days and a few of my staff members still don't have their results. Our region shut down some places like gyms yesterday. I have mixed feelings; sad but also relieved because I am afraid it would be more of the same, that I would be short-staffed. I returned to work today, alone in a large gym, closing everything and having to remove staff from the system to lay them off temporarily.

Hoping and praying for everyone's health and wellbeing. Be careful! Not everyone is masking so your wellbeing is in your hands.

There are so many of us Aussies here😆

I don't think there are any easy answers.Am so over covid as well but it does not like covid or its variants are over us😆

Omicron has dashed hopes of normalcy as we knew it- I think if I come out of this healthy and sane I am going to take it as a win.

Vaccines are an integral part of the armoury against Covid but yes the health system all over Au should have been improved and a healthy lifestyle should have been promoted.

Thanks man! and same to you and your family.

There was a loud minority who was not happy but generally people hunkered down and obeyed lockdown rules and mask mandates and the issue in Au with vaccination has been the lack of vaccines rather than vaccine hesitancy.

I am in Sydney and Melbourne had it much worse with lockdowns than us so there were more protests there.

The pandemic response has been more state than country driven and while the Prime Minister has not changed , the state Premier for my state has changed and he is baad compared to his predecessor.

Always heard u need to be mentally strong, diligent and totally hardworking to study to become a doctor..and past 2 years have shown why u need these qualities to sustain as health care workers too...how u have worked persistently throughout, worked day n night in risky conditions, provided support to patients, hats off to u all..

All this must've taken a toll on ur mental health too..but have heard many stories where doctors have taken extra care to keep the patients relaxed and motivated. Stay safe u all❤️

We still did not get our second vaccine as it's 84 days waiting and we took it in November. All transport and restaurants need 2 vaccines so travel is out of question and plus, those who did not get the virus for 2 years are getting it now. It's scary.
