So papa Virk had hope that Fateh would stop the engagement if he sees Tejo going away with another man , but Fateh being a great soul , selflessly prayed for Tejo's happiness with Angad.

That's where everything turned around! Later Papa Virk too accepted tejang and wanted them to get married asap to reduce his own guilt.

Papa Virk ka plan poora popat hua , neither Fateh stopped engagement nor did tejang get married. But he's still in benefit ,unaware of coming danger in the name of jasAng

This is where father and son differed , papa wanted Tejo for Fateh and Virks , he was selfish for wanting Tejo , but Fateh was selfless in wanting Tejo to lead a happy life🙂

This decision of Fateh is actually making fatejo digestible now. If Fateh had ditched Jasmine before all , the family would have wanted fatejo , Fateh would have cried for his ishq and that would be stupid🤢 Him loving her the way she loved him is what makes Fatejo acceptable to atleast few or many audience.
