Mehrunnisa looked more beautiful than Padmavati

Unpopular Opinion: I think mehrunnisa looked more regal and graceful than Padmavati.

They both looked extremely beautiful in their own ways. Meherunissa was a contrast in her white skin to the dusky Padmavati, doesn’t mean Padma/DP looked any less beautiful.

Agreed, though I don't think this is actually that unpopular as I've heard quite a few people say this irl and on this forum.

So strange how they made Aditi look better than Deepika (as Deepika looks much prettier almost everywhere else), but they managed with that dull makeup, unibrow, etc. for DP...

I never found her beautiful. I always felt something is lacking in her looks (not just this movie, i am talking in general).

Rani Padmavati was supposed to be the epitome of beauty at that time, simply stunning, but Deepika was not infact I find her more ethereal in Ram-Leela. It has to do with how she has taken to express herself as the queen. Her eyes at the times were bleak and dull, she wore a peculiar expression which wasn't helping either.

Aditi on the other hand was more expressive and her visuals were more stunning.

It has nothing to do with being dusky or fair it's the demaneaour 😆

Oh good then,

When I saw the film I was a Lil disappointed. SLB had a mind for Aishwarya for Padmavati but that couldn't happen. I guess Aishwariya could have been better any day ( Jodha ❤️).

It's the make up and the way she carried herself made her bleak compared to Aditi.

Aish would have been ideal for the role...

And yeah I totally agree that it's the makeup, her acting (I like Deepika but this was probably her worst performance imo), as well as the act that Aditi's outfit's were better and seem to have been designed/put together with more thought...

Did Deepika fall out with SLB during the making of this film or something? Because I can't help but notice that even aside from the bad styling she had barely anything to do considering the movie is named after her character 😕

Lol no, SLB is a master of details. When he has chosen ARH it is in fact, to contrast her as the pale, submissive Meherunissa, the one who cowers in front of her Sultaan, to the dusky fiery glow of DP’s Padmavati. It wasn’t a coincidence 😆. That’s the way I interpret it, seeing his earlier movies.


To me DP looked very beautiful but I do agree that her eyes weren’t as mesmerising as Padma as they are even in an average movie. But she was still so beautiful.

If not Aish I think in Today's time Tripti Dimri could have done better, she is oh so gorgeous and has this regal queen aura.

I think SLB gave more imp to Khilji than Padmavati 😆. Ranveer was glamorized with his outfits, hairstyles and that aankh bhar bhar k Kohl.

Both looked beautiful in the film

Aditi was fairer though
