What exactly was 'good representation'? Netflix is chock-full of shows showing bad Hindus mistreating poor Muslims when the truth isn't so one-sided. Rana doesn't have a problem with that, does she?

Also, this bigot Rana waxes eloquent about the anti-Muslim rots in Tripura, but is silent on the torching of 20 Hindu temples and Hindu homes in Bangladesh during Durga Puja which started the riots in Tripura. Not that either one is justified, but this Rana is so disgustingly shameless that it makes one puke.

I never really understood this argument. This is the same logic some people use when they trash Muslims ("look at how Hindus are treated in Pakistan and Bangladesh, muslims are clearly evil").

Should some extreme islamic countries like Pakistan be our standard? I agree they treat their minorities badly. But India is supposed to be better & also secular. Pushing constantly hate for 200 million people is not a good thing. India is not just for Hindus.

Bhakt or not, Islamic terror is a reality. Showing that should not be a crime.

It can be shown without pandering to bhakts and villifying Muslims in general. Have you seen Sarfarosh? It also dealt with islamic terrorism but it did so in a much better way and actually had a fully realized muslim character apart from perpetrators (no low effort token crap like in this movie who are there to fall in line). It didn't spread hate like this movie but was more about unity

Totally agree with the article. And I'd go even further and say that the film itself is just pure trash, on an "entertainment" level overall.

Very worrying indeed, as well as the low-key bigots showing their ugly asses in this thread, but not entirely surprising.

Agreed, Rohit Shetty has only been getting worse honestly (didn't really like the last 2 Golmaal movies, Simmba or Dilwale) but clearly he has an audience for his lackluster movies.

And that's fine I guess, the problem is that he is suddenly pushing hateful propaganda (in a masala movie no less so it reaches a lot of people).

Absolutely. Sarfarosh got it so right. Yes, Islamic terrorism is a reality but when you villainise and show it in such a lazy and stupid, one-sided way as you did on Soorvyavanshi we have a problem.

And yes, Rana Ayyub isn't the most reliable or balanced voice but in this case, a broken clock is right

It's not about standards. It's about equal condemnation of both sides of the bigotry, which this zealot Rana Ayub lacks.

Not that anyone takes losers like Ayub or her pea-brained trash supporters seriously. No wonder then such people remain unemployed for months since nobody wants their ugly lame asses. 😆
