Anil and Sridevi really stooped low with that ghatiya film.

I found Kader Khan character the worst in that film. Which dad is so keen to get his daughter's husband remarried to another woman just for his daughter to get 2 crore rupees? First time saw an FIL push his SIL to marry while his own daughter is still alive.

Crazy film.

Do you feel 2 crore rupees is less, that too in 1990s? It would be like 20 crore rupees now. Every modern and progressive woman of today would and should happily sell their husband for that kind of money. Won't you do it? Come on. It's 20 crore rupees for God's sake.

Boney is close to BJP. Anil campaigns for BJP candidate Kirron Kher every 5 years. Kapoors had also met late PM AB Vajpayee and invited him at some event for Hamara dil aapke paas hai.

Even Twitterati joke about how Sonam has different stance while her dad is a bhakt.

Amitabh is a clever chameleon. He was closest to INC as he was classmate of Rajiv Gandhi and considered Indira G as his mom and his own mother Teji was close to Nehru. He later fell out with Sonia G but his brother and sister in law still keep good relations with Gandhis.

He keeps close to anyone in power. Got Jaya closer to SP as it wad gaining ground in UP few decades ago and helped them grab land in UP, get indirect benefits through UPA.

But also kept close to BJP/NDA whenever they came to power. He is the biggest weathercock of all time. He had begun to warm up to BJP, endorsed Gujarat tourism and Modi from 2012-13 itself when he sensed UPA would lose and BJP would come to power and have Modi as PM candidate.

If tomorrow he senses someone else will be in power he will warm up to them also. He is a proper darbari. Yes man. Close to anyone in power. And this is one of reasons why he is saved despite very serious controversies which would have ruined any other actor's career.

Whatever that film showed was plain wrong. Sridevi's family is middle class in that film. Not hand to mouth or starving on streets. There was no need to stoop that low to sell her own husband for any amount of money. Equally loony was Urmila who was lusting after a married man older than her, father of 2 kids and least bothered about consent of the man or impact of this on his kids. Obsessed weirdo bought a man by convincing his wife even as he himself had rejected her and never wanted to marry her.

And suddenly the same 'NRI maadern girl who can buy husband' became ideal Indian bahu after marriage.

The most bakwas plot ever. She pretends to sacrifice in the end though she can easily kick out Sridevi because Hindu marriage act does not allow polygamy and Anil-Sri divorce before Anil marries Urmila. Had she made so called sacrifice earlier, maybe the man would be saved from such harassment.

Sridevi and Urmila both get slapped in this film. And I think their characters deserved every bit of it.

Which wife and mother sells her husband and father of her kids only for sake of money?

I watched this only for Anil, Sri and Urmila who I liked as actors. The only likeable part of this shit film is Paresh Rawal and the abba jabba dabba actress who played Johny Lever's wife. Atleast they offer comic relief in a migraine inducing film.

Janhvi Kapoor must do Judaai remake. She should sell her husband for 100 crore rupees atleast.

I wonder who should play her husband and her husband's buyer though.

Zee Cinema and Boney Kapoor come together...

So I was looking at who won the awards for Best Debut across the major award shows.

For the males, for 2012 it was Ayushmann Khurrana across the board. Yet at the Zee Cine Awards he was a joint winner with Arjun Kapoor.

Similarly with the female debuts of 2018, it was Sara Ali Khan who won all the awards, except Zee Cine which gave it to Janhvi Kapoor.

So now coming to Boney_ji... he has had an "association" with Zee Studios for many years. They have co-produced MANY films with each other, to name a few: Mom (2017), Nerkonda Parvai (2019), It's My Life (2020).

So isn't it quite peculiar that the man (Boney Kapoor) who works very closely with the Zee Company, his kids seem to win awards at their shows, pretty much exclusively. Also, his late wife Sridevi won one of her few awards for the film Mom (Critics Best Actress). Arjun Kapoor welcomes Boney Kapoor on Instagram, says, 'Dad is here to keep track of all his kids' | People News | Zee News

No, that title is only for me, though it has to be The Trivia - King.

But what did Anil's character want? Sri’s wanted money, Urmila’s wanted a man, but what did Anil want? 😆

If you ask me, he was the weirdest character among the three main characters, at least the women were clear about their intentions and worked to achieve them (selling husband and becoming traditional bhartiya nari respectively 🤣)

Was he looking for the perfect woman or did he really love his first wife? (Because he started having inclination towards second wife once she started acting like ‘bhartiya naari’ )

Was he that weak to agree to be treated like a commodity because of a few nonsensical antics?

Crazy bollywood world 🤪

And please do not tell me a pure garbage film like Benaam Badshah can be shown SO many times on TV despite its vulgar subject and lack of success when it released. It is probably the shittiest film I have ever seen from a commercial star. But it shows many times on TV thanks to Anil Kapoor.

I can understand if films which are big hits like HAHK show many times on TV. Or some cult classics like AAA, Swades despite lack of BO success. But why would anyone keep airing garbage like Benaam Badshah?

For that matter Zee has really good relations with Ramsay Brothers also (thanks to Zee Horror Show that Ramsay Bros made for them) which is why their proper garbage horror films are shown even in day time on Zee Cinema.

Ramsay horror movies are shown on sony max 2 or dhinchak 2 channel in India

Urmilas name in the movie was jhanvi
