Remi, welcome to the PS forum and the EDT! ❤️
I am not sure what took you so long to join us all. Now that you are here, please post your views on a daily basis, participate in the discussions.
About your Dad, that’s sweet of you to share his PS watching experience and his reaction to Shiva’s kiss to Raavi and him being a ShiVi shipper.
At the end of the day, PS is just a show, some days the episodes make us happy and some days don’t. I am in it for an experience and to see what’s in store for some of the characters I have come to love through this show. I also like a wholesome family drama interspersed with romance which I get plenty of it when I watch the original. One day, I hope this version will also reach to its full potential.
Hoping to see you more in the New Year! Wishing you and your family a very happy and a prosperous New Year!
P.S: Please feel free to call me any which way that is convenient to you. I won’t even mind if you call me by my first name.
Hi Prema Akka! Wishing you and your family a Happy and prosperous New Year!
Thank you for your kind words! To be honest, even I don't know what took me so long Mostly just overthinking, I guess 😆 But now that I've started, I do hope to continue..
I completely agree with you and do feel the same way! As I mentioned in an earlier post, this show truly has tremendous potential, along with a brilliant cast made up of some strong performers. In addition to that, they have some great source material. Although I don't watch the OG, I have a fair idea of the tracks and storyline; and as you so kindly share these details with us, I also know that the show has consistently been performing well. So this version definitely has a good foundation that they can build on and be as successful as the OG if they wish to! Even though I absolutely adore ShiVi, I have also love the other characters. At the core of it, they are a very lovable family, however they suffer a lot due to the shoddy writing. Within my family itself, we all have different favourites, which just goes to show that if they don't mess with the characterisation and don't try to glorify one person or glorify abuse, the audience will definitely respond positively towards all the characters. They've struck gold with the cast as well, and while I might not like the the behavior of Suman or even Dhara at times, they can definitely show them accepting their mistakes and faults as well as growing and changing for the better. As a viewer, that is what I'd like to see, along with honest conversations and the entire family growing to love and trust one another. Coming to the individual couples, I'm no relationship expert, but I do believe that while there might be love, certain important factors like honesty and trust seem to be lacking. The past couple of episodes itself have made that quite obvious. So as much as I'd appreciate some romantic moments between not just ShiVi, but also DevTa, what I'd like even more at this point is just them being open and honest with each other. In my opinion, that is what's sorely lacking at this point. Shiva certainly seems to have progressed a fair bit, (especially seeing that he tells Raavi that they should talk about what's plaguing her), but he can still definitely show more growth. Dev, for being the intelligent one, certainly has a long way to go. It's even worse with him because his character and relationship is barely explored. Likewise, GauRa and the others also have some learning and growing to do. But that's the whole point - that journey of their growth is what I'd love to see the most and I'm hoping that this new year brings some much needed positivity and progression in their lives! No doubt there will be kaands in abundance through all of it, but that's a given when in comes to this family 😆
Thanks again for the live updates, and hope this year brings you and your family lots of happiness, good health and success ❤️
