What exactly is stopping Akshara from accepting Abhi? - Page 4

Ya helping Aarohi get in to a loveless marriage is downright stupid decision in her part, but she knows how stubborn Aarohi is I think she's simply getting out of the way. If you noticed Akshara is just trying to stay away from Aarohi's bad decisions(she refused to go with aarohi to select the rings) because she knows she would be blamed if literally anything goes wrong, blaming Akshu for things is like second nature to Aarohi.

I think responding to Abhi(blushing, smiling) is something she's doing subconsciously. As for why she's not staying away, she's mad at Abhimanyu for agreeing to marry Aarohi. It's her way of showing its your mess learn to deal with it and she's a family oriented person, she can't stay away from her sister and her life.

Yes..today's epi shows why akshu is doing all this..

Her dialogues reminded me of manjari 😆 She expected her relation with harsh to improve after he gets his choice of dil ..akshu expects the same..poor abhimanyu 😆

Yeah I think today's episode drove that home - guilt and also compassion for Arohi having to witness something so horrible as a child (i found that concern of Akshara kind of touching actually). She wants to give Arohi something in her life that will help her move on from this tragedy but I agree with @_charu_ that pushing her towards a loveless marriage that is built on inherent dishonesty is not the way. It is practically certain to cause Arohi immense pain later in her life.

I also agree with @iheartchai that Akshara in some ways is the most reasonable of the Goenkas (not a high bar to cross!) but here she is being very unreasonable or at least wilfully blind to the huge mistake she is helping her sister make. We can also discuss why she is taking on more guilt by canoodling with her dear JIJAJI - in the last few episodes, she is not even really trying to stay away from him. And now we are getting a roop tera mastana moment... which will not move the plot forward because guaranteed neither will remember anything the next day

Well I think that is the point. Akshara isn't some saint she is going to make mistakes. Her decision fueled by guilt is making things worse but at this point decisions have been made so what else is there to do? She is just trying remove herself from the equation but circumstances keep bring her back in.

Though personally the writers have not done a good enough job setting things up and took too long to get Akshara into the hospital. That should have happend way sooner.

But you know the name of the game in ITV is FL has to be all self sacrificing and be the one who talks about trust, teach people right from wrong, etc when some of their own actions are questionable in itself cause you know good characters make decisions and even if they seem bad it is really good for everyone's so called benefit.

And because the 3rd wheel is made out to be self centered and evil no one really cares that the ML and FL are spending romantic time together. Not one show be it ITV or some other country's has ever handled a triangle love story well and if there are some they are very very rare.

I recently saw a beautifully done movie on a love triangle - The Half of It. Really lovely movie, it’s on Netflix.

You mean the hugs? She had been an emotional wreck both times. She feels safe with him she can't help it.

Even the most level headed people bound to have low points in their lives, they slip and make mistakes and give in sometimes. Akshara is really strong but she lost her control on her emotions, I don't think the writers put as much thought into characters as we do but it's natural for her to hug him in those situations.

I think we can all help who we hug🤣 I mean, I would hug a pillar, a cushion, a tree before I hugged my prospective brother in law who has openly declared his love for me - if my goal was to not encourage his feelings. But hey maybe that’s just me…

First it was because of Aroo ki khushiyan but then she told Arohi she was not doing this for her, she was doing this because the two families cannot get along.

But now even that is inevitable - so why not just clear the air, confess all to Abhi and just save everyone a lot of misery and confusion? So Arohi will throw a few tantrums - let Dadi, Manish etc handle her nakhra like the pros they are at quashing the discontentment of their female kids…
