Ayesha’s portrayal of Sai

I read a lot of opinions on Ayesha’s portrayal of Sai in the last 2-3 episodes. There were complaints about her shouting, screeching and going OTT with her hand movements.

I have a different opinion.

First of all these are extremely emotional scenes, Sai is at her wit’s end. Her husband is refusing to tell anything and he also admitted that he was in a hotel room with Sruti and registered them as Mr and Mrs Chavan. He keeps repeating I cant give any more info, sahi waqt tak wait karna (and Sai ko koi timeline bhi nahi deta) and of course the most painful Sruti-defending dialogues as well.

Sai is a wife and so am I. In a situation like this, I would completely lose it and wont even realise where and with whom I was. I would do everything Sai did today- Scream, screech, shout, cry, hold him by the collar and what not I might end up even hitting or slapping my husband just to get anything, any piece of info about whats going on!

Its a very natural reaction A situation where your conduct and decorum goes out the window. As a wife, I could feel her pain and helplessness. And someone as vocal and expressive as Sai, this is what we should expect.

I agree, I love ayesha in these type of scenes, the rawness portrayed is so good, the frustration, helplessness, everything on point...in connect with the feelings of a 19 year old hurt extrovert teenager. There might be issue with thehraav, but that is more of direction problem.

She was a bit off today..Tge way she laments usually touches me ..She looked bored and unhealthy to be honest.. Hope after Neil returns she takes a break..However I did feel sorry for the character Sai because of the circumstances that I know but Ayesha wasn't convincing today ..I honestly feel both should do a workshop together to bring back that rawness

Ayesha until this recent epi was perfectly good. Today she looked a little off in the outburst. Her initial stunned silence with tears streaming down her eyes was very poignant and well portrayed.

Ayesha's problem is dialogue delivery ...she needs to separate her choked voice from her dialogues... because at times I couldn't get her lines!

Her expressions though are still amazing.

Looks wise, she is looking exhausted and unwell..dark circles etc. I hope she gets a break soon. She must be getting her mandated days a month but she doesn't show us what she does..on Insta😆

But now she needs her yearly off ..if there's such a concept in the TV industry, which is pretty brutal as it is, and with newcomers, even more so. She is doing her own shoot plus now a lot of channel promotions.

In a way her exhausted look is suiting this track ....but yeah she deserves a vacation, some time to self pampet n chill with her family....she is the one carrying this show. If not for Sai, so many of us would have quit this show. Yes theres a team but Sai is the only thing the makers did right. Every othet character and technical aspect has been majorly screwed up but thankfully Sai has been spared. She still retains most of her essence but her evolution due to her circumstances, relationships is also there and its beautifully portrayed. I think Ayesha deserves a lot of credit for making Sai so real, raw and relatable. I don't think its all on paper. Her likeability and the reason why we are all rooting for her has definitely got to do with her acting, her body language, her nuances, how she has internalized Sai Joshi and then enacts it.
